People talk about "scouting" as if they're on Football Manager and that there's hundreds of players that could come in and replace Isak as long as the scouts do their jobs When in reality there's such a small pool of players that fit that criteria and the club have put bids in for them but they aren't joining

My favourite thing is people saying it's the clubs fault for not replacing him quick enough and then not being able to provide an alternative to what they should have done

I mean we can laugh at us being linked to the same players as last summer but surely it's a good thing if we're linked with good players and they're still good (or even better) players a year later? And we're in a better position than last summer. Shows our scouting isn't completely dreadful like some are suggesting

I think it's all well and easy to say we should move on and set deadlines for them to make a decision but the pool of strikers to replace Isak is so small I'm not sure we can? Who do we move on to? It's going to be frustrating if/ when he eventually picks Man Utd but do people just want to give Man Utd a free run at him and we get someone inferior instead?
