Blaydon Races is never going to be a full crowd, chant/sing-a-long song, it was written nearly 150 years ago for a music hall, contains places loads of people will never have heard of has words that arent used any more. The only thing that really fits for a crowd to sing before, during or after the game is the chorus. That's not to say it shouldn't be played and played properly and people sing a long if they know it, but that song has a limit as to where and when its sung.
