  1. Good week thank fuck. Put James in for Son and have Wilson, ASM, James and Zouma so 66 points with Leno, Van Dijk M-N, Salah ©and Martial still to play.
  2. Yeah, he did okay in the sense he managed to at least get the ball into his feet and so make a contribution at times. Wilson has taken over his role from last season and so now he will be the one that is invisible for pretty much the whole game, as he was yesterday and at Brighton. The reality is no one in our team 'creates danger' as you mentioned in your post because we never have the ball high up the pitch to give them a chance to. Joelinton didn't, Almiron was even more absent, Wilson was completely invisible, neither of our full backs got into crossing positions and Shelvey and Hendrick never crossed the halfway line it felt like. The whole team as any kind of attacking unit is completely defunct. The only player that can ever do anything in this mess is ASM because he has other worldly ability to run past numerous players from any area of the pitch. The whole thing is a joke. Fair assessment.
  3. Had to take out Aubameyang and was going to go for De Bruyne, but I just cant see past Son this weekend. He'd better fucking start and hammer us.
  4. He'll never be a 6 yard box striker. Doesn't want to be.
  5. Interpolic[/member] Disappointed WNC didn't do this first.
  6. Captain Aubameyang this week I reckon. West Ham gonna get fucked up.
  7. Come on, we didn't just do that. We did go direct at times but that's just nonsense. There was an awful lot more than I'd like to be fucking seeing. Because if we rely so much on that as a tactic, we're relying on playing with Andy Carroll. We dont have another player that can fill that roll. That's what I'm most concerned about. Not really an inspiring thought going forward. Maybe it's the first game and that's what we had ready. Maybe we're working on more and there's different things to come. But if he's going with this tactic all season, it's a little worrying. We had some good performances from players and it was good to see effort and some quality from individuals. But the setup is at best average. There's so much more that could be done with those players. I get your point, if we try this without our injury prone big forward it won't work. Not trying to give Bruce any kind of tactical acumen, but maybe we set up this way as we were away, and it was West Ham, we might set different against others...time will tell i guess. Yeah maybe. And if so that's good. My opinion on this game would stay the same. I get why Fraser is unlikely to be fit. Almiron looked fit though and crow-barring 3 CMs in to a midfield 4 might work away to West Ham in the first game but you'll get what's coming to you. We didnt need plan B tonight. I'm just sceptical that we have one.
