Struggling with most of the keepers in fairness. Was struggling with Boniek too, cheers Nobby.

Rooney - - not firing on any cylinders

Not his fault. It would help if our midfield could get the ball in or around he box! -
I think its discouraged in that country as a general rule

I'm sure this thread isn't meant to be as serious as 'some' people seem to be making out....

World on alert Germans marching again!
Super Duper Branko Strupar replied to Parky's topic in Football
What, in training? Probably give it a go, yeah. We need someone to be able to give a bit of cover so some people decide to run forward with the f**king ball. The commitment and urgency going forward has been horrific! No fluidity, no sharpness of passing, no planning 3 or 4 passes ahead. We've been really gash, and yesterday was pretty poor as well when you consider the space and time we had and how sh*t they were. As it stands we'll get ripped apart from Germany because we have f**k all going forward! I'd stick him in there definitely. Then tell the others to get on with their jobs and score a f**king goal. EDIT: Just relaised the 'tomorrow' part. No idea why I said 'tomorrow' like. You know what I mean That's right quarter final against the Germans would be the best time to try out a player who didn't even play that much for Man Utd this season and apparently didn't train today due to injury! Capello would be foolish to do that Furry Muff. We're screwed then -

Would anyone else play Carrick as a holding CM tomorrow? -

Aye, hopefully play a lot more to our advantage and we play well having space and counter attacks. I'm a bit wary of Johnson's defending, as well as Upson's, though he played a blinder yesterday! -
100% And if Lampard starts next game I'm going to be livid! What's the point of him in there?! Hes been awful, and just takes our best player out of the game! The most important pass in our team is Gerrard to Rooney. Get Gerrard in the centre with Carrick or Barry. If he wants to get people down the line to put crosses in then play decent wingers. Milner played well but we all know and are best place to say, more often than not, Milner in that position is a waste. If not, play Gerrard off Rooney. I think Cappello's decisions have been well off. Big mistakes in who he'd taken for a start off, big mistakes in selection and tactics, and the biggest factor, we arent a good a team as we've made out. Not by a long way. We aren't a team really, there doesn't seem to be any cohesion or understanding there, anyone who knows hoe 'England' play. Just a bunch of players crowbarred into a team. Lampard out! Wasn't it Lampard who done that awesome pass to Rooney for his 'hit the post' chance? Among others. Lampard was decent. Given the fact he is playing a limited role I've been happy with him. Must be annoying playing second fiddle to Gerrard. If Gerrard plays off Rooney there is space for both of them imo. Aye, agree he should play then. But not if we're playing 4-4-2. Gerrard in the centre is the only way for us to progress

Great scenes at the bar to US winning... but I can't help be tinged with quite a lot of bitterness. We've been substantially out performed by a country who have taken to the sport in the past 15 years. If I wasn't so angry at our own performance and horrendous team selection and unwillingness to drop people I'd be a lot more inclined to give the credit that is due to the Americans

Hughton confirms interest in Jlloyd Samuel
Super Duper Branko Strupar replied to gdm's topic in Football
Hmmm, we do need back-up for LB but spending £1mil and wages on a 29 year old to never play..... There isn't much logic in that. Would love van Aarnholt back on loan, he looked brilliant. Looked as though he could do a job covering Jonas too. Doubt we'll get him, but we could do with someone like that. Someone young and versatile, can play in a couple of positions so then they are likely to get more games than they would if they were only cover for the first name on the team sheet. A bit hungry for a chance, gives 100% whatever position to try and prove a point. Definitely a young loanee with a view to a permanent I reckon. -

John Terry reinstated as England captain
Super Duper Branko Strupar replied to Parky's topic in Football
Its been a long time coming but Terry has imploded, he was a ticking time bomb. The look on his face when he plays, how he goes on about integrity but cheats week in week out, his over aggression, his lack of respect and misplaced priorities, his sickening narcissism. His ego has long influenced his actions, and it now seems to be totally dictating them. If he had an ounce of intelligence about him I might be arsed to pick apart what he says, but the fact he is oblivious to the level of rubbish he spouts every time he is interviewed is often incomprehensible. Someone needs to take his f**king blinkers off and give him a hard tw*t in the jaw! Maybe if he saw things coming he'd be a little wiser. -
he said 'sod'. Twice. Didn't think it was really apologising territory. He joked that a few of the England players might be following anelka home after the meeting tonight. Spoke very highly of Joe cole, said only he and Rooney had the ability to provide the spark. "We are going to look at the whole 93 minutes and see where we went wrong," said Terry. "And that means pretty much the whole lot of it. "It is going to be a chance for everyone to get it off their chest and if that means a few players get upset then that is the way it is. We need to win the next game and we have to say 'Sod it, let's sort it out and show everyone what we can do'." What the f**k is Terry on about, the stupid c**t?! Is he the captain?! C**t. He should shut up and spare the rest of us his simplistic ramblings. Sit him in the dressing room with shapes and different shaped holes to put them in until he's needed to play football, which even that he's struggling with. He talks as if what he says means anything, never known such a false prophet!
