Not sure how Clichy leaving Arsenal is particularly worrying from their perspective. As I have rattled on about for long enough in this thread he has been a liability for 2 seasons. Every Arsenal fan will tell you this. Surely selling Clichy and finding a suitable replacement is a good thing and not a vote of no confidence?

I'd actually expect to pay the top-up in order to land Clichy. Can't help but laugh at this. You seriously think Clichy is a superior player to Enrique? Let alone value based on TWO WHOLE seasons of being absolute garbage (liability is the best descriptor, mind).

Villa are dull. They have a squad that is lacking any real potential to drive on. They're about to sell one of their better prospects and it doesn't appear like they have the spending power to compete with the likes of Tottenham and Liverpool for the 5th/6th places they should probably go for. Uninspiring.

His profile is big enough for him not to worry too much about turning down Aston Villa. Hardly the most appealing club, Villa.
