They’d be well chuffed. Saka was their top scorer last season with 11. Even Leicester had two players who scored more.

The usual excellent breakdown from Swiss Ramble - this time of the new FFP regs (or whatever they’re called now). Would be really interested to see him analyze what that would mean for you guys going forward (over the next 3/4 years, say). Edit: Sorry, didn’t see all the stuff in the other thread. As you were.

For a team that’s not finished in the top four in the last six seasons, they don’t half spend a lot of money. More in net spend over the last four years than any Premier League club is this is to be believed: https://www.transfermarkt.us/premier-league/fuenfjahresvergleich/wettbewerb/GB1

Rumour is that we’ve put in a firm bid for Raphinha, but also that you and West Ham have thrown your hat in the ring. Sounds like a proper old-fashioned bidding war. Except he wants to go to Barca

Just feels like it’s way too early to be having these discussions. A lot of Arsenal and Spurs’ strengthening is just on paper. Arsenal have already spent all their Champions League money and have only actually got in Marquinhos and Fabio Vieira (while losing Lacazette). Spurs have only signed three players, and one’s a backup keeper, plus they need a significantly bigger squad. Chelsea and Man U are bound to spend some money…surely. I’d rather wait and see who’s in place for the start of the season. A week ago Arsenal looked like a disaster area. Now some divvy on Arsenal-mania is posting this: I mean, sure .

Womblemaster says hi.

I’ve never really looked at Arsenal Twitter before. It’s very entertaining.

That phrase is a pet hate . Me and at least a couple of others on here. Only good-humoured

There’s probably a really good in-depth article on this out there. There are so many factors. On the one hand a team with lots of internationals might not get a break, but a team with few internationals might be rusty. Someone made the point that it might actually be better than a number of mid-season internationals because they’re all flying to and staying in one place (rather than, say, Bruno Guimaraes flying back and forth from Europe to South America). Is, say, Ben Davies worse off now than Kulisevski? Chances are he gets three games in the sun and then a couple of weeks off, versus Kulusevski just taking an extended break. Injuries are obviously a massive concern, but presumably bigger teams have both more players involved and a bigger squad to deal with it. If, say, it’s a Korea vs England World Cup Final then Son and Kane will be knackered and whoever loses will be devastated. But if they both go out in the first knockout round (infinitely more likely) then they’ll get a really nice mid-season rest.

But you probably do have to include NY just on population.

Link worked for me. And bloody hell, that was some read.

This season is going to be so bizarre. Guessing the wildcards and specials are going to be tweaked again.

My early thoughts are I should stop doing it because there are bound to be half a dozen times when I forget and get annoyed.

Presume it’s basically an aggregator.

He isn’t even mentioned in SpursCommunity’s transfer rumours So much bullshit.

Oh man I’m really sorry but I re-read my post. I meant he’s amazing because of how much of a narcissistic bellend he is . He posts a million times a day - either he’s a 20-something on coke or a 14-year-old on Coke. A while ago he posted a whole thread on how amazing Bissouma was going to be at Arsenal. Then when Spurs signed him he posted some stuff about how he wasn’t all that and actually Tielemans was the guy. Sorry, mea culpa.
-
All rumours tbh. That’s why I’ve got no patience for people getting overexcited one way or another at this point. I mean, just in the last two pages Spurs have been in for half a dozen people, one of which was completely made up and still got a bite . So much of what’s out there is bullshit and gets repeated as fact.

This guy is kinda amazing. Edit: The Twitter guy I mean.

I mean, if West Ham pay back all the money taxpayers put in then sure.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/sportsnews/article-10920579/Premier-League-tightens-rules-match-postponements-player-unavailability.html Looks like they’re trying to codify the Arsenal Rule.
