Honestly don’t mind us trying stuff - quite enjoying this. What it does do is kind of expose players who aren’t quick-thinking or who have a poor grasp of their role, which is I think why Trent and Pickford are looking a bit shit.

Genuinely one of the best headers I have ever seen.

VAR favouring the Big 6 again.

Portsmouth have always had issues.

Wasn’t trying to pick a fight. Just you said it was assist of the year, and I didn’t think it was assist of the week.
-
If you think taking a ball off two attackers who are breaking dangerously then turning that on its head by running 70 yards through an entire team and pulling the ball back from the bye line between a keeper and defender to give a forward the easiest goal imaginable isn’t as good an assist then fair enough . My work here is done.

It‘s so difficult to judge at U21 level though. Like, last year we were incredible in PL2 but now all those guys are either on loan or in the first team squad and our U21 team is shite. So much depends upon timing although presumably he is doing a good job.

I mean, Van der Ven was less than a week ago.

Everything coming up the Arse again.

Well that’s ace as fuck. I feel like the Reds v Blues needs a bit of that.
-
I didn’t see the Man U game - been watching a recording of the Spurs match. We had a pretty young lineup and I presumed Man U would do the same. Our average age in the starting lineup - 23.5. Theirs - 26.6

That‘s what bugs me. If you don’t book someone for that, why exactly are you there? Absolutely cracking game though.

I hate shitty reffing like that in the Liverpool match. Bologna player massively and blatantly delays a quick free kick - the most straightforward yellow card you’ve ever seen - and the ref does fuck all. What is the point? Useless piece of shit.
-
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, it would make a bit of difference if you could find a way to have the away supporters closer to the pitch.
-
Yup. It’s what I’ve said all along, great for a fan who’s involved, but nobody else will give a shit. I barely watched the CL anyway if we didn’t qualify, this has just nailed the coffin shut.

To add to what others have said, I really like Garnacho. Lovely player, and seems likeable too. Would be so good on our left wing.

That’s entirely on Dalot. When VDV starts his run Johnson gets ahead of Dalot but isn’t running very hard. If Dalot realises the danger and really sprints to get back he might be OK. He hesitates, Johnson commits and it’s all over. On the replay you can see Dalot hold his hands up in apology.

Just watching Mount complain about his yellow, which is absolutely hilarious

Just rewatching the game. For those commenting about Werner being shite, we know, Son and Odobert are injured and Werner is just on loan this season as a place saver until Mikey Moore gets a few games under his belt. And that Korean kid who’s coming in Jan. Werner did OK in general, but better players are coming. Was pleasing to see how we managed to almost completely keep Fernandes out of the game until he got frustrated. I’d never give a red for that - although I can see why he gave it because it ended up being reckless. Just a yellow for me. Presumably he was just transferring all the yellow cards he should have given to Martinez and Ugarte in the first half to Bruno, which seems harsh. How they both had to wait until the second half to get booked I’ll never know. Oh wait, I do know. That was fun.

You can add me to the list too, always found him quite likeable and it would just be nice to see him come good. I presume he has his coaching badges etc?
-
It was all stupid in a variety of ways. Guess he’s young and this should be a learning experience.
-
Anyone listening to the TNT commentary?
-
Yup. He’s such an insufferable twat that he kind of embodies the online Arsenal presence. Like, Klopp sort of channeled that stuff for Liverpool but they’re instantly less detestable under Slot.
-
Yeah, absolutely agree that everyone has knobs. The big shift over the years has been towards the kind of knobbery prevalent on the internet - just look at Brennan Johnson taking himself off Instagram. What is clear however is that Arsenal (and Liverpool, in a different way) have far more of this kind of knob than anyone else, in England at least.
