You were definitely improved, although it’s so hard to make those judgements at this level. You had I think four players from last year whereas we only had our goalkeeper back - the rest are either on loan or sold (or a couple injured). Chelsea and City IIRC usually use younger players (like U18s or U19s) while last week you had Trippier and Targett on the pitch. Difficult to compare teams, which is why the new format is good - results don’t matter so much, just playing.

The thing that changed was that you started actually seeing Arsenal fans being Arsenal fans . We had that for decades.

I started a couple of general football ones but I think I’m just not all that interested any more, and simply don’t have the time. Started listening to The Fighting Cock while I was in the US as essentially I was missing talking about Spurs down the pub and that’s basically what it is. Only…under all the nob jokes it’s quietly incisive about football (on and off the pitch) and Flav keeps it together nicely. View From the Lane (the Athletic’s Spurs podcast) is simply - like Disco says - really good, although the best thing about it was Charlie Eccleshare and he’s just left. Danny Kelly can be a twat and is wrong so much of the time but he’s a pro and it shows. There‘s a podcast by a Spurs journalist called Gold and Guest that’s a bit dry but always has interesting info from behind the scenes. Like Yorkie, I’ll happily listen to anything when we win and avoid them for a few days when we lose. One podcast for the Spurs banter/pub vibes, one for Spurs club info, one for interesting analysis and a bit of reminiscing. That seems to be enough footy podcasts for me for the most part.

Leicester did it constantly in the first half against us which was driving me nuts, then Udogie did a blatant yellow card tackle and I was ready to flip…until the ref bottled that too They need to start dealing with it early on in games but it’s the same old story. Only way to deal with it is dole out tons of yellows and reds until teams get the message…but the FA doesn’t want that to happen so the initiative always peters out.

Watched our Leicester match in the pub with a few neighbors. For some reason you couldn’t hear the commentary at all from our TV and the whole thing was massively improved - to the point I think everyone commented on it. Tbf I do provide a running commentary on games when I watch. I’m one of those cunts, although naturally my commentary is more pithy and erudite than anyone else, especially after a few.
