  1. Offering season ticket holders pretty good deals if they commit to all three group games. Supposedly three-game group stage packages for between 70 and 150 quid...which also gives you priority for later stages if we get lucky. That's pretty damn good, particularly with concessions being 50% off. It should give us a bit of an idea about interest in tickets for the new stadium too.
  2. Sadly, I agree. Really? Nothing specific really, just a gut feeling. Guy who got released by Feyenoord, did OK at a small club, had one good season at the top(ish) level. I've not really seen enough of him to judge, and he's clearly got great character - which Poch likes - but we'll see. N'jie and Son haven't exactly set the world alight yet, and I fear he may go the same way.
  3. Didn't know whether to laugh or cry at this one...but the Poch vs Pardew comparison was particularly amusing: http://theeaglesbeak.com/2016/07/12/can-palace-players-provide-england-spurs/
  4. Surely there is now enough evidence for a lifetime ban from football.
  5. Omg, is that some kind of record at that age. Gonna be off again when Pardew ruins him. Wildly disingenuous, that - they're pretty much all loans. He joined us - his local club - at the age of eight, and we only sold him last year, at the age of 27 24. I think he's making a mistake, mind.
  6. Well the only ones he's got are I and A, Ian.
  7. Remember arsenal's mural? I hope Spurs do something similar. Jeez, seeing that makes me feel old (because I am).
  8. The single biggest problem in this team is that one or more of Hart, Smalling and Cahill is guaranteed to drop an enormous bollock at least once a game. Generally ending in a soft goal.
  9. Might as well play 1 at the back for craic then. We still need to play our best team, we're in a tournament. France rested players tonight despite knowing that a defeat would have seen them have a very tricky tie against either Germany or Poland. I don't have too much of a problem with it actually. I reserve the right to change this opinion at 10pm on Monday. Agreed . It's a tourney at the end of a long season, with a number of games played in quick succession. You give some players a break, while getting others up to speed. I'm all for it tbh.
  10. I love when teams live up to the stereotype . Like, say, Portugal being wildly disappointing.
  11. I'm not too worried. As long as we win this, we should go through. By the next round, Sterling & Kane will have either improved or been dropped. I think this line-up is pretty good, but the better sides will not be scared.
  12. I'd say that was an anti-climax, but it was only ever going to do that .
  13. Smalling and Cahill just do not fill me with confidence.
  14. We did scout, buy, and coach the fuckers, tbf .
  15. Mugged the keeper. First time in a million years that I think the "guy pretending to take the kick runs over it" actually worked. Obviously that's why they had Kane take every fucking kick up to that point.
  16. I think it's fair to say that Hodgson got the formation right, it's just that Sterling and Kane have been disappointing.
  17. I don't think Townsend is great, but he's got far more nous than Sterling. I think Lennon would have been more effective tbh. Maybe Sterling will get a bit more confidence...somehow?
