  1. I'm far too keen on playing in one of these before I die. Probably immediately before.
  2. Legitimately laughed out loud at both this title and the last one.
  3. They are heavily linked with Monaco's fullbacks, as i said earlier the plan just to be buy Monaco's players and hope it works out. Isn't football today grand. Not dong so hot and have more money than God? Somebody else doing better? Just buy their team.
  4. You're going to have to tell me where you got those stats from. ESPN has Sterling on 41 games for Man City, plus 7 as sub, with 6+1 games for England. Eriksen 46 for Spurs, plus 3 as sub, with 5 for Denmark. Sterling Man City Goals 10 Assists 14 (Prem G 7 A 6) Eriksen Spurs Goals 12 Assists 23 (Prem G 8 A 15) Doesn't really detract from the main point though - Sterling has been really good for Man City this season. I will point out that we scored 6 more Premiership goals that "more free-scoring Man City".
  5. You must be bored. Spurs, innit .
  6. Spurs game on Facebook now for anyone who's really bored,

    Football pet hates

Likewise. And just end of season itself. So s***. I might have said similar in the past, but I never wanted this season to end, so I'm loving this post-season friendly. More the merrier!

    On this day...

Forgot how good the goals were. Even the penalties were terrific...apart from one .
  9. Yeah. I like the shirt, but can't escape the feeling that the sponsor's logo is completely fucking ridiculous .
  10. They need somebody with the nous to tear it all down and build from scratch, if what Gus Poyet said about the underlying culture is anything to go by. Financially they're clearly a basket case right now. However, they have the catchment area and attendances to be in a better spot than many clubs who are well-run - Burnley, Bournemouth, even West Brom and Stoke. I presume their kids are at least half-decent based on their U-23 position. If they can hire a manager with a clear football philosophy and build a team to fit that then I can see them come back up in a year or two with a far more solid foundation. It seems to me that clinging on for the last couple of years has only been counter-productive.
  11. To be fair, Stalteri's late winner at West Ham is still one of my favourite goals of all time...and he essentially did just that.
  12. That Welbeck miss just before Bellerin scores is amazing .
  13. Pre-season predictions: http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/37040156 Fair play to Jenas. Only Dean Saunders and him had Man U out of the top four, and only Jenas had us second.
  14. Somebody went back and checked. Supposedly we're the only team to do so ever (back to 1888) and not win the league. Presumably not all that many teams have managed +60 full stop. Apologies but I'm clearly never going to shut up about this . It's apparently the fourth highest ever Premier League GD: 1st - Chelsea 2009/10 +71 2nd - Man City 2013/14 +65 3rd - Man City 2011/12 +64 Man Utd's Highest GD in the PL is +58, Liverpool's is +51 and Arsenal's is +51.
  15. Spanish officials have to be the worst in Europe, and there's a fair bit of competition.
  16. Somebody went back and checked. Supposedly we're the only team to do so ever (back to 1888) and not win the league. Presumably not all that many teams have managed +60 full stop.
  17. I don't want this season to end tbh.
  18. They're all injured, aren't they?
  19. Imagine finishing above a team seven times in the last eight years, and still getting shown fewer times than them. Liverpool shown more times than anyone, including us and the Arse.
  20. It's almost being taken as a given that we will struggle at Wembley. I hope not, but I understand the thought process. I believe we may have just had the best home season by anyone ever (17-2-0) so it's not like we're going to replicate that .
  21. For most games yeah, but I still think he gets exposed defensively against the best teams. There's a lot of us that would be perfectly happy to take silly money for Walker and promote Trippier though. Kyle Walker-Peters would become the back-up, and he might be able to make the step up.
  22. Hopefully we can persuade players that we essentially need two first XIs - league and cups. If we can get Lamela back fit then at a stroke that solves a lot of problems. I actually really like Janssen, and think he will do fine. Got some kids coming through too. Like you say, the first order of business will be to replace anyone we sell. I'd prefer we kept everyone. Best case scenario - Lamela is back and we don't sell anyone. We'll probably be in the hunt for a CB, and maybe a pacy forward like Iheanacho. Anything else would be a bonus.
  23. Paper talk, supposedly. Although Poch has said he liked Sigurdsson in the past.
  24. Didn't realise he'd bagged that many. That's mental for someone who's not a guaranteed started every week He's not given enough credit in analysis imo, he's great. He should really have scored considerably more - he's missed so many sitters.
