  1. :anguish: FFS arse Proper Man U fan would have said Suarez, naturally .
  2. You'll not have seen Stoke then. They've been doing it off and on for a while.
  3. First I was thinking someone was asking for me to bite and then I realized I don't even know who this guy is. I can sort of see where he's coming from. Maybe Ramires is a stealth cunt.
  4. It's eerie. It would be less so if Bale was non-descript, but he's a peculiar-looking bloke anyway. McEvoy just looks EXACTLY like a few years younger Bale.
  5. Do the maths exist to compute how much Yanga-Mbiwa and Debuchy is better than Williamson and Simpson? Astrophysics.
  6. How can this be anything other than kidology? I mean, it's still going to be tough, but you will probably have four new players at least, and you'll probably still not even be in the bottom three. There is absolutely no way to tell how you will do until they've had a couple of games to bed in (and you know the deal with Colo).
  7. Why can't he play? Edit: HAha fucking hell, completely forgot and misread...
  8. I should clarify: I disagree that losing Colo would negate everything. Obviously keeping him would mean the squad was more comfortable.
  9. Let colo go and were still only Debuchy up on players. Haidara isn't going to replace santon, mbiwa for colo, gouffran for Ba & sissoko for next season. Really don't want to spoil the party atmosphere out there but we much better off before the window opened? Losing Colo would negate just about everything like, i agree. If we lose him. If we don't, i think the squad is a lot more comfortable. I disagree. I think that, right now, Cabaye would be the bigger loss (it would have to be to injury, of course). He's more of a leader, and will help massively both on and off the pitch to integrate the newcomers. I realize that Williamson is shite, but part of the problem up till now has been the lack of people to compensate for that around him. That is no longer the case, particularly if Saylor can give you some games.

    Sir Alex Ferguson

Not just about Fergie, but a decent West Ham fan article about the contrasting responses to Allardyce and Ferguson's post-match interviews: http://www.kumb.com/article.php?id=3176
  11. Such inaccurate bile. Mata and Hazard are two of the best players in their position in Europe and they paid market price. Never said they weren't good, did I? No but I stated to buy players of that quality you have to pay what they paid, market price, wouldn't say horribly overpriced. Marin was £5m iirc, Oscar? maybe, but young Brazilian internationals tend not to come cheap & Moses was going rate for young PL. Anyway meh. Hopefully Bradford get whipped in the final. The shame if they won would be obscene. Bradford winning more than us FFS. If Swansea get through, then I think the winner will be the 34th team to win a domestic trophy since you won the FA Cup in '55. That's really almost unbelievable.
  12. No. Need to win final. Ok, was going by the Spanish system here. They effectively downgraded the League Cup a couple of years back IIRC. Now the place goes to the league, not the losers.
  13. Out of interest, have you guys ever put a foreign first XI on the pitch? I know Chelsea were the first (in the Prem) and I believe Arsenal are the only one to field an all-foreign squad (plus subs). I don't know if any others have - but surely it's not just Arsenal and Chelsea?
  14. 'Bloody infuriating' would be my choice of phrase, but i know what you mean. Reading game and Remy miss might have been blessings in disguise. Ashley et al seem to have collectively shat themselves.
  15. Some vague rumours that we're (Spurs) interested in Gary Hooper. Leaving aside the quality of the SPL, is he any good? Not seen anything of him yet.
  16. Exactly this. It really does look like you're going to get at least two decent players in. The one big problem you still have is the awkward fixture list, and I think getting a win this weekend will mean you're safe.
  17. That's GOT to be FA action surely?! Even bringing up past games ffs! I've lost track - what are the rules governing manager comments about the refs?
  18. Looked pretty good in his sub appearances over the last few weeks, but I suspect that as long as Dempsey keeps getting these important goals he will continue to play second fiddle. My preference would be for Sigurdsson behind Adebayor, frankly. Neither Siggy nor Dempsey have really played well. It may get tougher for him when Holtby arrives, but I'd love to keep Sigurdsson and see him develop. He's a longer term option than Dempsey, obviously.
  19. There have been a couple of solid signs that AVB has had some influence on individuals. Defoe is one, Lennon is another. Still want a clever b****** somewhere up front. Preferably a big guy too. Wish we'd managed to blag Llorente a couple of years back. You know how highly I rate AVB due to some of my posts about him in the past. Would love a forward thinking manager like he is at NUFC. I hope he gets the players he wants into our squad. He's still working with someone else's team, really. Thought we deserved that today. Man U tried to get by with the minimum effort/danger, and almost made it.
