Let colo go and were still only Debuchy up on players. Haidara isn't going to replace santon, mbiwa for colo, gouffran for Ba & sissoko for next season. Looked pretty good in his sub appearances over the last few weeks, but I suspect that as long as Dempsey keeps getting these important goals he will continue to play second fiddle. My preference would be for Sigurdsson behind Adebayor, frankly. Neither Siggy nor Dempsey have really played well. It may get tougher for him when Holtby arrives, but I'd love to keep Sigurdsson and see him develop. He's a longer term option than Dempsey, obviously.

There have been a couple of solid signs that AVB has had some influence on individuals. Defoe is one, Lennon is another. Still want a clever b****** somewhere up front. Preferably a big guy too. Wish we'd managed to blag Llorente a couple of years back. You know how highly I rate AVB due to some of my posts about him in the past. Would love a forward thinking manager like he is at NUFC. I hope he gets the players he wants into our squad. He's still working with someone else's team, really. Thought we deserved that today.
