  1. We gave them a goal, simply. We've been comfortably better though, and I still think we'll win.
  2. Nope, he's fucking cursed. If he does score soon, he'll get a hat-trick, but there's a magic forcefield keeping him out.
  3. Oh bollocks, I'm watching this on delay. I'm outta here.
  4. Thing is, Sunderland really aren't very good, and most of our players actually are. We just don't have the shape and consistent gameplan/lineup to do well against the better sides. I'm not worried about our squad at all, just our manager.
  5. Tbf, Lennon should've hit it back in the first place. The strikers didn't react once he held on too long, though No, there was plenty of room in the middle if one of the strikers made the right move early enough. They both held off, which was a mistake.
  6. Our crowd is very subdued. We've checked out already, all we're waiting for is to find out who's going to be manager next year.
  7. Fucking hell, was that Taricco?? Never realized he was there.
  8. Don't know if you guys got the same footage we got there, but there was a shot in the tunnel with the Sunderland team lined up next to our mascots (we were still in the changing room). Looked like Sherwood really was taking the piss.
  9. Lunacy. It would be if it wasn't complete bollocks. In a total of 5,874 votes cast during the week-long poll organised by the club, 2,565 voted “Yes to Hull Tigers with the Allam family continuing to lead the club”, as opposed to 2,517 for “No to Hull Tigers” – a difference of just 48. A further 792 opted for “I am not too concerned and will continue to support the club either way”, while 9,159 season ticket holders failed to take up an invite to vote. Hmmm. Would like to see the precise wording of the question. That sounds almightily suspect.
  10. Yeah, this. There have been some stupendously negative comments on our forums, so much so that I've had to remind people how bad Sunderland actually are. We should still expect to win, although an early goal for Sunderland will be awkward. We were 2-0 down against Southampton and still won, and they're actually quite good.
  11. Sherwood getting a torrent of abuse for the line-up on the boards I frequent.
  12. Must be three-ways with Lennon tbh - can't believe he's still getting games. Btw, this is what a team completely devoid of tackle looks like. Going to be fun for the neutral.
  13. If Fulham stay up, they owe us. Holtby has been massive for them. Another example of why Prem teams shouldn't be allowed to loan players to each other.
  14. Less happy about Rodriguez, the poor bastard.
  15. Out of thirty-three league games (including Sunderland), we have played precisely six on a Saturday.
  16. I wonder which club has played in the smallest number of Saturday games in a given season. We've got to be close this year. Fucking ridiculous.
  17. Actually, I think this might just happen too. Can see Man U getting a red card first half.
  18. Can't see us paying that much - absolutely no chance of you guys spending even close to it. Hasn't he been a bit disappointing this year? I've been watching this season through my fingers, so I haven't seen enough to tell.
  19. Is that before transfers? That's a misleading quote - not sure where neesy was getting that from. Profits before football trading and depreciation were 23.4M, but apparently profit for the year after interest and tax was 1.5M. Better than the year before, but not exactly a license to spend. The big question mark is still the new ground, and the one remaining property we need that has had a CPO pending for a ludicrous amount of time. Otherwise, it's business as usual.

    Soccer.

They came to us in Columbus last year - blinding day out.
