  1. They were probably the worst side we faced this year, at our place. Maybe they had a couple of injuries?
  2. 41 goals so far this weekend. Anyone know when that last happened? Genuine question.
  3. Same again. Started watching and they knock it around, then Villa's defence makes a total pig's breakfast of things. My wife says that Villa have started doing all their training in Villa Park to try to snap them out of their bad home form. Nailed it.
  4. I've only been half-watching this, but every time I look up Stoke are pissing it. Is that a fair comment?

    Sunderland

They do that every summer. Setting alight the transfer window and all that. And even if they stay up they'll need a whole new team, AGAIN. There are perhaps 3 reasonably good players in their team and they don't even f***ing own two of them, major investment is needed once more as they can't generate that kind of money by selling the dross they have atm. I'm curious as to when Ellis Short will reach the point where he says 'you know what, this clearly isn't working, no you can't have loads of money to waste on s*** players again.' Seems worse this season. Last season they had Sessegnon, Mignolet and Rose (loan). This season they have Borini (loan) who despite probably being their best player isn't exactly a goal machine. They are in real trouble. They don't have a single player I would have near our first 11 this time around. That sounds like a challenge. Somebody get over to RTG and ask for the latest joint team line-up. Cajun, I think you're underrating Ki, although of course he's on loan as well. Other than that, maybe Johnson and that's it - and that would be a matter for debate too. They really aren't very good. As for your relegation season, well your squad was pretty strong really and should never have gone down in the first place. Pretty much everything that could have gone wrong, did. Then you trimmed a couple of guys but kept the bulk together, and were far, far too strong for what was a really weak Championship. Ashley took the hit in the pocket and reaped the rewards - for the first and last time .
  6. Who do you think will be appointed next season? Pochettino, Van Gaal, Laudrup ... General feeling is that LVG is the most likely - if he wants it then it's pretty much a given. There's more talk about De Boer than the others you mentioned. I dunno. The World Cup is not coming at the best of times, and that may well be a stumbling block. Van Gaal is not going to come without getting some real control, and Levy will have to work hard to reassure him that that will be the case. Blagging our way into the top four - which amazingly is still possible if Arsenal keep capitulating - would make a huge difference, obviously. I don't see any clearer candidates among the younger managers.
  7. Can't quite believe that we're still fifth despite being a bit of a mess without a proper manager. Everton should be able to take fifth with their games in hand, but still. After next weekend's game at Anfield we've actually got a nice little run-in.
  8. Mutual? We're all Spurs fans at heart .
  9. Actually, most of the blame is on Krul for that game. We still gave a fuck at that point. It's pretty clear we're just going through the motions now until we get a proper manager.
  10. Where the hell is Lamela? Haven't even heard him mentioned in months. Long term injury? Back injury. Some speculation over whether it's an "injury".
  11. They could say the exact same tbf. We're the only one of the three who truly doesn't have a real manager . The other two are just "not good" managers.
  12. it was a pretty good riposte I thought!
  13. Well that's the point, isn't it - they were signed with the Bale cash, so anything will be profit. We'll sustain regular Top 5-6 if we get a decent manager. There's a very strong and young squad there, they just don't have a proper manager in charge. I mean, Sherwood's actually done OK given he came in partway through the season and that he's got zero experience. A year or so under a decent manager and we'd be OK - but there's a lot riding on the next appointment.
  14. Kaboul's red card rescinded. All our red cards get rescinded. Can the f***ers please start getting the decisions right in the first place FFS?
  15. Problem is Liverpool's fans are far worse. Yeah, it's shite any way I look at it.
  16. All my eggs in the Chelsea basket this week. Shit.

It really was. It helps that the crowd in Seattle is always good value, but there were some proper players on the pitch and that made a difference too.
  18. Should have done better there too.
  19. Sunderland nearly broke the crossbar there.
  20. Everton could have had anybody bar Arsenal or Man City and waltzed into the semis.
  21. 63 points . Not bad from seven players.
  22. Only saw the top part of that picture at first and thought it was a rugby kit. Think the Aussie kit is pretty damn smart.
