  1. H Reading 1 - prolongs the agony a bit. Reading are capable of snatching a goal or two. A Aston Villa 3 - Villa are a complete shambles, and their home crowd will get on their back. H Chelsea 0 - can't see you getting anything. A Tottenham 1 - by now, you'll have pretty much a full squad to choose from. H Southampton 3 - See above. This is the game when you start to see light at the end of the tunnel. You relax a bit, which helps in the following games A Swansea City 1 H Stoke City 3 - they're pretty shite away. A Wigan Athletic 0 - they're fighting hard A Manchester City 0 H Fulham 3 H Sunderland 0 - have a sneaking feeling they'll do you. A WBA 1 - their wheels are starting to come off by now. H Liverpool 3 - the game that ensures you stay up. Cracking atmosphere. A West Ham Utd 0 - tough game against a club still fighting to stay up A QPR 0 - see above H Arsenal 1 - nothing game. 41 points, and safe.
  2. Said if before - if Webb has to ref any game this season, then this is the one. Oh, maybe Man U v Arsenal too.
  3. Meh. Tough game. They were well-organized, and parked the bus a bit - we were uninspiring. And the ref was irritating. Not entirely unhappy with a draw, fully expected them to sneak it.
  4. I don't think he'd turn down a move to you guys. Problem is (a) we'd want a big wodge of cash (b) Kaboul is still long-term injured, and I don't see AVB wanting to go through the rest of the season with 3 CBs. Of course, if we sign Aldeweireld then that would change, but I can't see that happening before the summer. http://media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m44b1cDoay1r6p48c.gif I almost left it out through respect, but well, it had to be said .

  6. I'm out of the country so at least partly out of the media rumour drivel merry-go-round, but it seems to me that we've dropped way off in silly agent rumours this window whereas you guys have come to the fore. Is this true?
  7. Why are you always putting down Scots?! Plenty of defenders have positive playing styles as managers too, what's that all about? I know, that part was sort of tongue in cheek (any reasonable Scottish coaches will flee to England, for good reason). I'm just worried at the quality of youngster we are producing and how we seem to be letting a lot of them stagnate. Really worrying. His speciality is always going to be on the defensive side and would need to be backed up by a solid attacking coach (which me may or may not have). So you're just ignoring mine and OCK's posts that contradict everything you've said? The reserves seem to be doing pretty awfully this year. I'll trust your better judgement but if you're playing 'good football' you generally don't lose all the time. Would you say the players being taken for the first team has had a lot to do with it? It's all manner of things. You really can't judge the "reserves" solely on results, because the team make-up and opposition varies so much. I've only seen a couple of your kids' games this season, but you had many different players involved. When we played Man U U-21s they had Fletcher playing FFS. We tend to have players playing in an age group above their own - so for example, the U-21s have a few U-19s involved, and the U-21s themselves tend to be out on loan. The team can be hit-or-miss, so what I look for is a consistent philosophy. We've been pretty good at that, but I haven't seen enough of your guys to comment.
  8. I stand to be corrected, but I don't think I've ever seen a team with as many kids as this before. I mean, tonight they were looking to Agbonlahor for experience - one of the dimmest people in football. Just one experienced, clever leader in the middle of defense or midfield would make the world of difference.
  9. Trouble is, they've been consistently losing money during that period, despite that fairly small net spend. They usually have to sell to break even, and they usually don't break even.
  10. About as good as we can line up at the moment. Not that I know your players that well, but that looks like a terribly inexperienced midfield.
  11. We were rumoured to be after him for ages, but apparently AVB never fancied him, despite all the hype. AVB's gone up another notch in my estimation.
  12. Rooting for Ivory Coast/Algeria so he's back soon tbh. Looks like a tough group.
  13. Go away, we saw that desperate twitchy man first.
  14. Showing derision? That'll be an extra million.
  15. Oh it's Talksport. Wasn't looking too closely. Not even entertaining, then.
  16. ..and 2M for Michu. Seems legit.
  17. Paddy Power have shortened Man Utd's odds from that. One of the very few games I actually want him to ref.
  18. it's more the last sentence. Tbh, if I were you, I'd be thanking my lucky stars I got Brighton away and not Mansfield. We'd probably be watching that for the next 40 years as well.
  19. Lalala, not listening. Too Sepp Blatter; didn't read.
  20. Kinda my thinking too. We got a similar draw tbh. Mine just gives me Hooligan 80s flashbacks.
  21. Apart from us getting Leeds/Brum away, mind.
  22. Watched it on FA Live. You know, for all that I hate the drive by everyone in the media to let us know the numbers beforehand, that was exactly how a draw should be!
