  1. He's got the Dembas mixed up in the rankings like. Aye its a bit s***. Parker is 150th. Not gonna be too harsh though, found out myself how annoying it is trying to sort a large subjective list like that. However. We have 6 players, the mackems have 1. So LOLZ. 11
  2. Won't be watching it for much longer if this kind of stuff carries on.

Completely not interesting fact: I was born on FA Cup Final day, 1973. In Australia - and me Dad always reminds me that he missed it because of me. Even less interesting fact: It was the same hospital Young Doctors was filmed in.

Haven't we had this same conversation dozens of times?
  5. That is a correlation though *cough*.

I mean about the folding, not the fucking of myself. I'm down with that.

They can go f*** themselves No thanks.
  8. Why is this not in the BBC's Sport section? Unless I'm being dim. Can't find it in any of their sections.
  9. German. And German. Apologies to Sophie, David etc.
  10. He fancied CL, we rated him, he was cheap. Think he would do better in an AVB side, but he just didn't settle at Spurs and was clearly far happier when he went back to Everton. We'd like to keep him, but just wasn't meant to be. Was great against Milan, to pick one game. I can't criticize either him, Spurs or Everton for the transfer - it just didn't work out.

I'd have loved to have seen Rangers at Stenny, or East Stirling. Don't think my wife would agree to set foot in Falkirk again though.
  12. Aw shit, we lost . Did you see the game?
  13. Not necessarily, they look suspiciously American. Liverpool glory hunters, would not bang. Or, they're happy to be paid to dress up. Would.
  14. I agree with 6th-7th, but saying "players like" is instructive. Isn't the worry that you only have those players at that level (and not enough more "players like"), and over a whole season with injuries, suspensions, Europe and the like that may cause problems? That said, we'd expect Man U, Man C, Arsenal, Chelsea and Spurs to be the top five based on the last few years (and money). We'd expect Liverpool to challenge, based on money. One of that top five might struggle (possibly us, in transition), and anything could happen with Liverpool, so I think your ceiling this year will be fifth. I reckon you can still add Everton to make eight, but just don't see anyone else mounting a consistent challenge. Eighth should be your minimum, not because your players are much better than eighth, but because nobody else is that great and the top sides have better squads. Fair enough assessment. There are so many little leagues within the league now, realistically only Manure, Chealsea and Manshitty are capable of winning the title in my book. Arsenal, Liverpool and Spuds are capable of finishing in a CL spot and Everton and ourselves are threats to mix it up a bit and make the UEFA spots. The rest of the teams are mid table/relegation fodder. So based on that if we do not make the top 8 next season, that should be regarded as a big failure. The dangers are that you will no longer be a surprise package, the smaller squad, and other commitments (basically, Europe). The advantages are that you could argue Chelsea, Spurs and Liverpool - and maybe even Arsenal - are in transition. I'm just trying to keep my expectations down, and shitting myself about whether AVB is going to be a huge mistake or a genius move. I think that for us, finishing below fifth would be a problem unless the top six were very close, and we looked like a coherent unit. Finishing seventh or eighth (or worse) would be very disappointing.

  16. Would it be so bad to have Ba LF, Carroll CF, Cisse RF? Cisse has a great cross on him. Don't think it's a great idea, but would at least be entertaining.
  17. That was done before the Zlatan sale, though. Anyway, I know this question has been asked and answered before but... how do PSG really intend to meet FFP? I imagine that they're assuming that it won't change anything, and probably rightly so, imo. They have to be assuming that, same as Malaga, City, and Chelsea. Either that, or there's a "hundreds of billions" sponsorship deal on the horizon.

  19. That's a cunning plan - put a target on the goalie kit so you always hit your shots at him.
  20. But what will this prove ? If they were to have a float at an anti-racism rally, you could understand that. But at a gay rally ? Where are the pluses ? Recruitment of new supporters amongst the gay community ? Hardly. As the gay community themselves would probably say, you are what you are. Sorry, but the imagery of this is just too amusing for words. No, I think it's a good thing. Have to question whether sending the women's team is "challenging LGBT stereotypes", mind.
  21. Contempt. 90 days. *cough*
  22. I agree. Apart from the chicken, of course. We had all white kits a handful of years ago, plus between 85-87. I think the kits are OK.

Sure he was brought up in Shrewsbury. He's defo English though, born there and both parents are. I always wondered what it was like growing up and living in Berwick. Do they have southsiders and northsiders? Is there friction between those born north and south of the river?
