  1. Sounds like we should have put them away by now though.
  2. That's beautifully done by Dempsey. Arsenal should be out of sight already, the bottled water will fly.
  3. I like that it still exists, particularly for lower division teams whose attendances might just suffer. That said, I'm watching two games simultaneously here in the US, so I'm all right Jack.
  4. WP Nasri yet again. Arsenal pissing this.
  5. Robinho knows kung-fu man. Not much use when the other guy can eat your fists.
  6. No Guardiola is fairly nuts. Not the best choice of full-backs either. LM is a good punch-up, but the real question is - Ronaldo or Kuyt? Tough one.
  7. Yep. A mid-table finish this season and I think we'd have the pulling power again to attract players to at least be where Everton & Villa have been in the next 2-3 years. There's a lot of money needed to reinforce the squad, but Carroll's looking more and more like the player you build a team around. He's exactly the player that both Villa and Everton would kill for. We'd find him pretty useful too. I just fear for you if injuries start kicking in. Us and Villa each have 11 injuries now. Can you imagine what your first team would look like in those conditions? It was scary enough when Tiote and Barton were missing. It's not like its 11 first teamers for Spurs though. Woodgate and King permanently injured and shouldn't be relied upon by anyone; dos Santos, Keane, Bentley, O'Hara, and even Jenas to an extent, aren't really first teamers. Through a combination of injury and suspension we've recently had out: Ben Arfa, Nolan, Tiote, Williamson, Coloccini, Barton, Harper and you may as well include Gosling and Ryan Taylor if you can include the likes of Woodgate. It's not a competition!! I'm just illustrating how easily and quickly you can have 7 or so injuries/suspensions, and that if Ashley doesn't reinforce a couple of positions in Jan things could get messy. Smith and Nolan in CM looked scary.

  9. Injuries are the key, obviously. We've had unbelievably bad luck yet again with injuries (walking away with the physioroom title) but have the squad to cope (just). Villa have swapped with Everton this season, and their depth has been seriously tested. You guys are in a similar boat, first XI is probably top ten, but after that it gets a bit dodgy. I'll go with 12-14, I think you'll pick at least one useful signing up in Jan.
  10. If they post a serious bid it will save everyone else in the world a lot of money. No competition. Plus that's three WCs in a row (arguably four) where the local press are emasculated.
  11. Fanni shits all over him. Divided by a common language...
  12. Jesus. I've never even heard of that happening.
  13. Is that guy with no gloves and short-sleeves playing?
  14. They will get Fanni someway or another. Does he have brothers? Are there any more Fannis?
  15. Don't bother. Although they did just show the Donovan goal against Algeria!
  16. I like that he keeps referring to Mr Sepp Bladder. Here comes Barack...
  17. Bizarre. Just got in, switched on Fox Soccer and Morgan Freeman was on, apparently playing Nelson Mandela. That's what it looked like anyway. "I'm sorry, I missed a page". Nice work Morgan, that's the bid scuppered.
  18. Best performance of the season from them I reckon, even better than the Chelsea game. Bodes well for Roy if they can keep it up, but an injury to Torres and he's screwed again.
  19. Glad I no longer have to deal with this, because it used to boil my piss too.
  20. Crouch has been getting the Carroll treatment from the refs... ...oooh. Who on earth is going to take this?
  21. But it's not long ball when it's Liverpool - it's just direct. It was only a free kick mind. Put it in the mixer etc.
  22. It is for people with their swear filter turned on. Excellent. The world is safe in your hands.
  23. Also thought that b******s would be bleeped. Sorry kids.
