  2. We can talk about his track record, but his tactics were taken apart relatively easily by low. Hes done everything at club level, this is all new for him still right now & he didnt handle it. One of two things has happened. The opposition in this world cup has either tactically worked out how to combat our strengths, ie how to mark Rooney out of it etc magically all of a sudden as they didnt in qualifying. Or the players have under performed due to being effected by having to do it on the big stage. Suggesting its a mental issue. He didnt deal with either & there isnt yet any reason to believe he'll learn how to beyond hope.
  3. Im pretty sure every single one of our players can control the ball well, has good touch & the majority of them movement also. Rooney being the prime example of having all 3 in abundance at Man U & yet looking awful at all of them quite a few times in the world cup.
  4. The defending for the goals yesterday was ludicrous. That falls on Capello, they've either ignored his instructions or hes set them up very poorly. He takes a decent amount of blame either way. Bored of changing managers constantly, but hard to keep faith now. Going to Liverpool but would be happy with Hodgson taking over. Not that ive any idea if hed do well or not, so different from club football.
  5. I dont disagree they could have. I just see a difference between a player that outright misses the goal & one that comes so close that he hits the framework. I see one as being poor from the player & i see the other as being so close that its unfortunate. Thats all. You don't disagree? Love that one. Germany forced James into at least 2 saves on top of their goals. By your reckoning that would still make it, what? 6-4 to Germany? Nah would be 6-6 as we forced two from their keeper also. Dont remember James 2nd either, just the first from Klose, which i thought was decent at best. Id expect most to make that save. And i dont disagree that they could have scored more, they just came nowhere near as close as we did to achieving that. Done now as i say anyway.
  6. Good point. As it happens they scored four times to our one. And were luckier than we were not to concede more in terms of how close we came in comparison, which is the point. Im finished though yeah. Guess ill go have some tea

  8. Explain how we had 58% possession at several points if our midfield couldnt string two passes together? Some of you are purely basing them deserving their victory on their passing being more fluid and better at opening up our team. I am saying, that on the chances we had...we didnt deserve to lose. Regardless of the way they passed the ball. I do not base how much a victory is deserved on who passes the ball better. A win is achieved by scoring more than the opposition, not out passing them. We had the chances to atleast equal the score with the opposition if not get more and were unlucky not to do so. It doesnt matter how ugly or inefficient it looked. You cannot go away from a match hitting the bar 3 times a poor call away from it being 2-2 and not claim that we were unlucky ffs. Complete lunacy from people in here with very little actual logic behind these arguments.
  9. We scored a goal & hit the bar 3 times. I call that quite close personally, dont see the issue. Hilarious though yeah. Watch the match again when you sober up/stop crying. You'll see that England got comprehensively outplayed. They should have been 4-1 up after half an hour, let alone full time. Their passing and movement was far superior and they controlled the game for about 70 out of the 90 minutes. Crying because i disagree with the majority? Stop being a tit & try replying without being an absolute cock. READ WHAT I AM SAYING. They cut through our defence better: yes. They had less possession: yes. They were able to sit back more & hit us on the counter as we unfortunately hit the bar 3 times: yes. We had a clear goal that enabled them to do that go unnoticed: yes. Their keeper has made two outstanding saved, while ours has fumbled the 3rd and jumped over the 2nd: yes. As a whole, did the England team deserve to lose 4:1. Not really, i dont think they deserved to lose atall. A poor defensive performance does not represent the efforts of the entire side. It isnt very complicated to comprehend, now have a go trying.
  10. We scored a goal & hit the bar 3 times. I call that quite close personally, dont see the issue. Hilarious though yeah. What about all the 'hot knife through butter' passes through our defence leading to numerous Germany chances? They didnt put their other chances as close as we did, they pulled one semi average saved out of James that was it. A combination of the frame of the goal and two outstanding saves from the keeper has kept us from winning the game. Luck is involved in that.
  11. England's defence were raped. And they presented themselves for raping. I don't really know how you can see otherwise but I guess some people can. Havent said id seen otherwise anywhere. I have mainly agreed with that for the last couple of pages, nothing to do with what im saying.
  12. They weren't, like.. there was about 25 minutes before and after the break when we were competing, but by and large they outthought and easily outpassed us. Scoring on the break doesn't mean they're clueless and desperate; scoring on the break three times means they were in good physical shape and mentally alert enough to know when to go for it. They were bloody brilliant*, and while I agree that goals change games (and as such there's no point speculating what would have happened if we'd gone in 2-2), the comprehensive and clinical defeat was anything but lucky and anything but purely counterattacking. ** edit: bloody brilliant considering they were thought to be a bunch of up and coming bairns Why would i ignore the refs decisions when my argument is that we were simply unlucky. Thats the whole point. He wasnt offside either, so on another day its 4-4. We came far close to scoring ours than they did any of the other chances they had.
  13. We scored a goal & hit the bar 3 times. I call that quite close personally, dont see the issue. Hilarious though yeah.
  14. Joking, right? But for James, this could have been a beating of Portugal-North Korea proportions. Wheres the joke, they hit us on the break 3 times in a row and went long ball for the first. Beyond being better at getting through our defence purely because of Klose, they werent much better atall. They were being dominated 2nd half until they scored. It's not nice to have to admit that you got comprehensively outplayed by the Germans, but it's better than entering into a complete fantasy world like you seem to have. They were completely ripping the piss at times in the second half. They cut through our defense better. We had more chances to actually score. Its not very complicated. 3 off the bar. The save from Gerrard, the save from Lampard. Thats 5 clear chances on goal that go in on another day. Not much fantasy involved. People just dislike having to accept we were actually quite unlucky also & prefer to place blame everywhere.
  15. Lets all jump on a train and take the piss even though we have no argument against what i said, nice one lads
  16. Radio for you today was it? Please explain how they deserved it when we were milimetres/wrong calls away from it being 4-4. At best they deserved a draw & we were unlucky. We even pulled better saves from their keeper, than they did from ours. Our defense simply looked more woeful so people are reacting to that as if they deserved it. We more clear chances to score. Its nonsense really.

  18. Heskey is obvious. James had a pretty awful game. Should have done far far better for two of the goals. Near jumped over their 2nd & has just dived right past their 3rd. Id expect the large majority of keepers to make the save he made in the first half. Beyond that hes gotten credit for just managing to actually catch the ball. Not very good really.
  19. Pulled a great save out of their keeper from Milners low cross first half to. Attacking wise, his best game in a long while very unfortunate.
  20. Im so irritated that Germany can now hide behind this great performance bullshit while everyone in England slags off the players. We had more possession, more shots on goal, more corners ffs We've hit the bar 3 times, had 1 awful offside call, had a shockingly clear goal dissallowed. And everyone is claiming the Germans deserved it ffs. Fuck off did they. They were lucky bastards who hit us on the break.
  21. You say that but at 2-1 down with another half an hour to go we shouldn't have been attacking like that. Dont disagree. Doesnt change the fact that we wouldnt have been if we'd had what we deserved either. The defending was awful though yes. It still changes the entire game. If we come back from 2-0 the momentum is completely with us & Germany have to push out more again. Would have opened up a lot more chances. Shocking call.
  22. Not sure how everyones so dissapointed with anyone other than the defence after that. We've hit the bar 3 times, Gerrards had a great chance saved. We should have had 5 goals and people are complaining about the performance. The only one you could have a go at going fowards is Rooney who was marked out of it. Theyve just done us on the break, Terrys been done for pace & Klose is quality. Beyond the decision, that was the only difference.
  23. Just got in. Absolute joke. That dissallowed goal has changed everything. 2-2 and we wouldnt be attacking like that for them to hit us on the counter. Fair play they knocked it around well & our defending was shocking. But that decision has probably changed everything. Let alone the defoe header that he also called offside. Has to be sacked from the tournament.
