That's essentially the Nolan we watched for his entire time here. When he wasn't scoring he was generally a drag on the team. Games used to pass him by time and time again and if it wasn't for Tioté last season he'd have been exposed excruciatingly.
Not bitterness mate, I'll always love him for his goals against Sunderland - but I'm delighted that we got rid of him when we did and I'm stunned that another team was willing to give him 5 years.
Where is Neil ffs.
I don't understand that signing really. May aswell play Vellios who's scoring, or Gueye or that Argentinean they signed.
Don't see the point of bringing him in for the midfield either, they're fairly stacked there.
I've often wondered why you don't try it more against the weaker teams. Busquets is class, but 3 from Iniesta/Xavi/Cesc/Thiago against the dross should happen more often.
Reading their forum apparently they're shambolic at the back, lack physicality and creativity in midfield and can't score goals.
Genuine mass suicide on the cards it seems, so if we lose I'll be mortified.
Jonas seems to have been liberated this season like, although I'd also say that's largely down to having another natural winger/ball-carrier on the other side.
Well that's not a massive, sweeping generalisation.
He's right, though.
Well, err, not really.
The word 'foreign' means anybody that's not British. Most of the planet understand football exactly the same way we do.
