Klasnic looked an intelligent striker when I saw him play, not very quick though. 30 aswell, can't see Ashley sanctioning wages for a 30 year old.
-
45mins could see them get 45mins tomorrow too? I guess, I just assumed they wouldn't be in tomorrow's squad at all?
-
Quite dissapointed Ranger and Vuckic are playing, was hoping to see them tomorrow.

35 million for Balotelli can be invested to make the team even better Just who would pay 35 f***ing million for Mario Balotelli??? edit: City

Football finds out live on the internet that he's been replaced: Click
-
He's been far more affective out wide for Liverpool and Netherlands than he has as a CF.
-
Inter have enough hard workers, and he's 29. He'd almost certainly do a job for a few years, but surely a younger player with a bit more 'star quality' would be more suitable. He's not as bad as made out though, I agree.

Daily Mail in fucking awful article shocker.

No. Kakuta will be soon won't he? joined in 2007.

I think so, which proves the ridiculous nature of the rule imo. More and more players are gonna be dragged across the world before they're out their teens. Not Mikel Obi right? Isn't the rule that a player has to be part of an English set-up for three years or three full seasons before their 21st birthday to be counted as homegrown. Mikel Obi signed for Chelsea when he was 19 which would make this impossible since he would've been 22 at the end of the third season. Probably not then. But the point still stands, the likes of Kakuta and Borini at Chelsea will be classed as homegrown at a point. I don't see the point in the rule if that's the case, rather than enforcing clubs to develop talent it just means they stockpile players at an even younger age. Can't be good for them.

Chelsea signed him so he would be one there home grown players. Aye, that's true. Oh well, it was just a thought.

Benitez is pretty much guarenteed to have no say in transfer dealings thankfully, apart from Mascherano who he allegedly requested specifically. Cue Kuyt as Balo replacement
-
I know he's allegedly a bit of a twunt, but if new signings forced Daniel Sturridge down the pecking order at Chelsea would you take him on loan here theoretically? I get the feeling he'd be a good foil for AC9. Or is that one a bit unrealistic?
-
I hope this potential 70 milliom in transfer fees isn't banked. Replacements have got to be bought surely? Looks like Masherano is almost a certainty, although I don't see the need for him. I'd like to see Balotelli replaced by somebody like Jovetic, or if the cash is to really be splashed then Aguero... Full backs I'm not sure if replacements are needed, if Maicon goes Zanetti slips across to RB and Chivu/Santon comes in I guess. Filipe Luis or Kolorov would have been good signings but there aren't many full backs left tbh - maybe Vargas?

2 days before and we don't have a thread yet? Anyway, discuss and that. Anybody heading along for this?
-
It will definitely stretch out the full 10 ten days then
-
He's on a chunk less than that
-
Pretty much. 35 million for Balotelli can be invested to make the team even better..Maicon on the other hand is irreplacable.
-
Bit of ITK crap...but I've been told from a trustworthy sauce that the 35k/week rumours are pretty wide of the mark.
-
Rather than bumping the old one, may aswell start a new thread. Serie A bashers stay out Mattis, Balotelli and Maicon on the way out the door...thoughts?
-
Nolan was just as immobile as last season if the Carlisle friendly is anything to go by.
-
Harper should get it.
-
Dawned on me that we have to play them in a couple of weeks. Not even them, that was their reserves!!
-
5-2, De Rosario. FT, great game for a friendly.
