Coloccini was actually very good up until a point in 08/09. Seem to remember after the Villa (h) in particular he was getting good reviews. It was as if he just completely burned at one point and he really struggled in the second half of the season.
Can't see it happening unless at least two of ours leave.
Hughton has said he will sign a striker
And? We'll still have to get rid of some before we bring in any more.
At present we have six strikers in the senior squad, plus Nolan and Smith who could theoretically be options. Do you see Ashley sanctioning more?
Ranger will surely go out on loan?
Then I guess one of Xisco or Best would have to leave, and Hughton wont be getting rid of Best.
I think it started before he got there with Johnson last summer, Shelvey & Sterling signed earlier on in the summer & Wilson was always on the cards.
Aye that's true actually.
They can have Smith as replacement for Mascherano.
EDIT: Cajun's already pulled that one in the ParkyvWoy thread.
Aye he's great, then you've got to remember he'll be probably getting gametime for Real madrid next season.
Theoretically we could have the likes of Wilshere, Rodwell, Moses.. in this. The difference in class is down to players not being allowed to go aswell as the difference in coaching.
The difference between these two sides is ridiculous, it's basically exactly like the two full national teams just on a youth scale.
Tbf though, England really don't have the full potential of squad out there - while Spain do.
He has absolutely no outstanding attributes to make him a £30 million player.
Good work rate and versatility, yes.
Everything else is questionable, passing, crossing, speed are all very meh imo.
