  1. Leeds 3-0 down to Swindon Geet in Ipswich.

  3. Yep, great site. You can always trust Americans for their sports stats.
  4. Assists in the league: 1 Graham Dorrans West Bromwich Albion 11 2 Jobi McAnuff Reading 8 Wayne Routledge Queens Park Rangers 8 George Boyd Peterborough United 8 Danny Guthrie Newcastle United 8 6 Jay Bothroyd Cardiff City 6 Chris Burke Cardiff City 6 Peter Whittingham Cardiff City 6 Grant Leadbitter Ipswich Town 6 Jonás Gutiérrez Newcastle United 6 Radoslaw Majewski Nottingham Forest Good signs.
  5. What the f***!?!? Get in, a bit of pace and balance to the midfield at last!! Said it before but this should give Jonas much more freedom, we now have pacey wingers on both flanks
  6. Should whack in a cheeky loan bid for Macheda. rather a cheeky loan bid for diouf. his lightning pace destroyed the fullbacks in the norwegian league.. He's already ahead of Owen in their pecking order man. He's their third choice after Rooney and Berbatov, no way we'd get him on loan.
  7. "De Laet is late to the tackle" Too easy. Ctrl Alt De Laet. you sure you're from Prudhoe? I'm not from here man! aye aye. Just living the dream? I cannit stand the place. Plethora of take-away choices is nice though.
  8. "De Laet is late to the tackle" Too easy. Ctrl Alt De Laet. you sure you're from Prudhoe? I'm not from here man!
  9. Wait, Dean Windass is on it? I'm sure he's a nice enough bloke, but his reports on Soccer Saturday are more than enough.
  10. "De Laet is late to the tackle" Too easy. Ctrl Alt De Laet.
  11. According to FM De Laet is comfortable of playing all across the back four. Would be a good cover signing if this is the case.
  12. Haven't bothered watching this yet, I assumed it would be wank. Is it?
  13. Is Lovenkrands back for this one then? We should get Gezza on that plane so he can play RB.
  14. I remember saying we should have signed De Guzman when he was available on a free. Always thought it was strange seeing him go back to Canada.
  15. I'm not 'racist' but I tend to agree with Thespence. From what I've seen of the big West African nations in the tournament; Nigeria, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Cameroon - I really can't see any of them coming close to winning the World Cup. The athleticism and footballing ability is obviously there as you can see when the players play with their clubs but watching them play so far this tournament I haven't seen a coherent 90 minute performance from any of them 4 teams. Of course the pitch is having a negative effect on flowing footballing, but everything just seems so disjointed and lacking of any tactical direction. So much so that it's actually pretty difficult to watch. The North African teams just seem so much more organised with their play, they actually seem to set about their task knowing what to do and how to win. Their style of play makes the players look so much more gifted technically than the West Africans, when really I doubt they have any more natural talent than the West Africans have. I'm not generalising or being ignorant here, this is just a natural observation I've made throughout watching the whole tournament - and as far as I can see it's glaringly obvious why the last 3 tournaments have gone to the Arab nations.
  16. Infact that's probably wrong, only Wikipedia seems to think he played in Ivory Coast - other sources disagree. Another 4. Dang. Rivaldo first one mentioned
  17. George Weah won: Liberian League Ivorian League Cameroonian League Ligue 1 Serie A
  18. Best bet is probably gonna be a one time great who subsequently sold his later career down the drain by playing in the most far-flung places possible. Rivaldo's Uzbek title has done it for him.
  19. Brazil, Holland and Spain the only ones there. Al-Sadd won the Saudi league after he left. Close but not cigar.
  20. Will the man in my sig have 4 at the end of this season actually? Malmo, Ajax, Inter/Juve, Barca? EDIT: Malmo never won the league, balls.
  21. Scratch that, Larsson only won the Swedish cup, not the league title.
  22. Aye Larsson has 4 aswell, although I'd take contention with his Premier League one considering Man U had to get special discompensation to give him and Smith medals despite them not playing the required number of games. Funnily enough you can add Mr. Njitap to the original post with 2. Got quite the CV wor Gezza like - Along with his Spanish and English titles he has 2 Champions League medals, 2 African Cup of Nations medals, an Olympic Gold and a Ballon D'or nomination
