Man U linked with Joe Cole, probably nowt to it but he's out of contract in the summer and yet to agree a new deal. If there's one English play I'd love to see play abroad it's Joe Cole like. I'd have no doubt he'd be able to cope abroad as he has ample technical ability, would love to see him go somebody like Inter, AC, Madrid or Barca etc.

Aye his stamina is incredible actually. Considering the amount of headless chicken running he does along with his useful stuff, he rarely loses the pace.

Yeah Jonas is great. What an enigma of a player, f***ing skins people for fun over and over again and when he gets going his pace is f***ing crazy. You never know what you're gonna get with his crossing, but you certainly know what you're gonna get when he takes a shot on I do love the guy though, however unorthadox his playing style is or how down right flipping infuriating he can be he's one of the more watchable players we have.

How were the CB's at fault? What on earth does a player have to do for an 8 btw? Routledge almost won the game by himself. We were average tonight man, first 30 mins were awful, even when they went to 10 men we kept giving them the ball from sloppy passes & clearances. 4-1 flattered us and i think would of probably would of been 2-1 if they had kept 11 men on. I was suprised you gave four players a rating of at least 8 for a fairly average overall performance. The defending for the goal was poor in general, everyone seemed to just stand still as Morrison put it in, Harper's positioning was a bit off as i feel he should of been able to push it wide at the speed it rolled in at. I'd agree we weren't great, but we were certainly streets ahead of them and 4-1 didn't flatter us at all.

I think Guthrie's corner taking is pretty decent, was good tonight. At the end of the day, who the fuck else is gonna take them?

Seriously, we shouldn't let Jonas go for a unimportant friendly game as he's our only decent left winger. I'm not prepared to see Guthrie there again. Chances are he'll be desperate to play in that though. I know Maradona has guarenteed him a place pretty much, he'll probably want to make sure he plays in all the friendlies to confirm his place.

Really enjoyable game that - it's amazing how contrasting the styles and attitudes of both teams were. Milan were pretty unlucky I thought.

On the bright side he's not Boumsong-bad... he's young and there's a chance we can work on his weaknesses (i.e. jumping in when he shouldn't and backing off when he shouldn't). I haven't given up on him completely. The fact he's young is the biggest positive, he'll never get the coaching to iron out them aspects of his game while he's at this club though.

I made the earlier post about who we could get to improve the right back spot simply because I don't think we could - good full backs are hard to come by and it would cost a good few million to upgrade on Simpson, which just isn't gonna happen. He's certainly seen as our long-term RB

I'd be very surprised if we buy a RB now we have Simpson permanently. I agree. We've given him a long term contract for a reason.

Who are we realistically gonna buy next season that will improve the RB spot though?
