  1. The OP had an absolute mare in this thread.
  2. God damn a lot of old people died. Well it did cost Sunderland their fanbase. Could just be the digital switchover encouraging them to upgrade. Analogues signals were switched off altogether last year.
  3. Just looked it up, still 28,000 households black and white tellys in the UK as of 2009. http://www.tvlicensing.co.uk/about/media-centre/news/black-and-white-tv-still-going-strong-NEWS22/ Old people ffs. Edit: down to 13,000 as of this year.
  4. You pay £145.50 a year for a colour TV license per household (I love how these are still differentiated btw, as if anybody is still paying £49 for black and white). This money all goes to the BBC who air their channels (radio and online too) without ads. There's like 50 odd channels free-to-air but most most are rubbish and/or extensions of the main channels. The traditional 5 channels are BBC1, BBC2, ITV, Channel 4 and Five which were what were on the old terrestrial analogue. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_digital_terrestrial_television_channels_%28UK%29
  5. It's no different to any other live coverage out there tbh. Michael Owen commentating tbh
  6. BT can afford/are happy to sink huge losses into taking marketshare away from Sky.
  7. BT Sport's European coverage is actually pretty good, but thats a niche market. Their Prem stuff is passable at best, awful at worst.

Watched some of that, absolutely awful stuff. Such gimps.
  10. Spelling fail. Oops! Catalogue wins by a mile then. Literally never heard 'catalogue of withdrawals', sounds stupid. By stupid I mean stupider than these other stupid phrases we're simply used to.

  14. "Ploughing a lone furrow upfront" isn't it, quintessential commentator speak when you've got 1 striker
  15. I lent my copy out to a mate yesterday. I loved it, but then I like Italian football. Its definitely worth reading even if you're just a football fan/away supporter in general.
  16. Spurs have 2 XIs capable of finishing 5th
  17. Buzzing to go round in circles with this one again. Every other Thursday like clockwork.
  18. He's brilliant mate, I don't care if you watch him every week your opinion is wrong.
  19. They have always done so, dating back to the constant failure of the dominant Lyon sides in the 2000's. This season has been especially embarrassing, but unfortunately the trend is nothing new. 1 European Cup and 1 Cup Winners Cup all to show for French sides ever is a terrible record, got to be the most underachieving nation in Europe by a distance.
  20. Ligue 1 sides doing terrible in Europe outside of PSG's false economy. Grim days ahead for your standard Ligue 1 fan.
