  1. In other news, this lot are still shit.
  2. Anybody see the 'Durham Reds' or something banner? Remember seeing a 'Darlington Reds' bus last year too, around about the time Darlo were in the courts being wound up. Go figure eh.
  3. Left on 92 mins but wouldn't blame anyone for leaving at 3-0 of any game. Think it's a bit shit meself like. I used to get precious over this, but tbh I've seen too many hammerings over the years to care anymore. Usually stay until the end at SJP but away from home ill be off if we are getting tonked. Left after the fifth goal at Spurs in February, what was the point of staying? It doesn't bother me massively, just don't see why people do it. Those that do are often the same ones that will leave in a close game too, whether we're 1 up or 1 down or something. Just comes across like they've got no real interest in being there.

  5. Think I might watch the Meelan derby instead. Poor stuff from whoever is reponsible for them being on at the same time.

He deserves to be called names as much as any of our players do after a poor performance. Tis a fair point made.

  8. Don't think Guardiola gets enough respect for the job he did. Made them as formidable as possible at the top level with the competition there is.
  9. Barca have been unwhelming all season. No surprise.
  10. Don't blame the fans one bit today. The first 15 minutes absolutely killed any chance of an atmosphere. I'm surprised it even managed to pick up at all after that.
  11. He's out of his depth, simply put. The non-signing of a new CB is one of the most infuriating things in the last 2 or 3 years. Absolutely baffling that we go through window after window without re-inforcing.

Wullie hit the nail on the head when he said our transfer policy lends itself to having an imbalanced squad and players who don't necessarily fit a system together. All about getting a bargain rather than filling a positional/tactical requirement. We've got good (fantastic in some cases) individuals but they're often incompatible. 2 fantastic individual strikers who don't really work together a prime example, or the lack of natural width despite having a shitload of midfielders on the books. Half the problem is the manager struggling to fit them together and the other half is that to fit them into a functionig system he has to sacrifice some of them completely or move them into a position they're not keen on. It's the biggest elephant in the room at the club right now - our sole source of goals also has us playing a system we're not particularly fluid in as a unit (to say the least).
  13. He has a point, though. Cabaye's done nothing really so far this season and his set pieces are very poor 100% of the time. I don't really get this, alright he hits the front man now and again but I'm not sure what more he can do a lot of the time. Every free kick within sixty yards he's told to launch into the box despite the fact we don't have the players for it, and his corners generally go around about the penalty spot. There's only so much influence the taker has at a corner. The bigger problem is that our players all pose absolutely zero aerial threat, which begs the question why do we work set pieces the way we do? The corners they scored from weren't fantastic but the movement was, in fact the second should have been cleared at the front post, as one of ours would have been.
  14. Embarrassing. Game lost in the first 15 minutes when we came out like frightened little girls.
  15. Very strong Man U side. Bit gutted they're not playing Giggs.
  16. "Everton Aways retweeted you 16h: Everton fans sitting down at an away game. What?!" Everton Aways @EvertonAways Group of lads fed up of sitting down at majority of AWAY games. Superb numbers, terrible vocally. The ONLY big club that sit down! Sort it blues. New group for you to join here, Neil. Aye they retweeted me anarl.
  17. The Everton wunderteam will win the World Cup and CL. Unless Baines or Jelavic gets injured.

Apparently they're setting up a link with Lierse in Belgium. Egyptian owned club. Means they can have first dibs on all the next El-Mohammadys.
  19. Anybody watching Roma on ESPN? Totti just played the most sumptuous little chipped pass for Lamela before.
  20. http://www.millwall.vitalfootball.co.uk/forum/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=99221&start=1 Amazing how they're in denial despite this happening at least once every season with their fans.
  21. steve wraith ‏@stevewraith Needless to say @MackemLogic will not be on twitter once Shola shuts him up in 2 weeks #smb people try to point out to him what the account is... steve wraith ‏@stevewraith A mag pretending to be a Mackem on twitter?
