  1. Zeman to be new Roma manager. :megusta:
  2. If he does really well you might have to re-assess the Best Asian player ever discussion.
  3. For a 3rd of the price Kagawa is the better deal, especially for what Man U are looking for. Kagawa doesn't have the turn of pace, dribbling ability or even vision that Hazard does but for quick, incisive, 1 touch passes he'll be a good fit. A solution to a position they've needed options in for a while, I can see Fergie turning him into a very effective player.
  4. So are they getting van Gaal as DoF then? If they are, I must admit I am baffled why they wouldn't just give HIM the managers job.
  5. Aye Nut, it's spelled Goatse you mug.
  6. Probably because Swansea finished higher in the league than Wigan. 4 points difference.
  7. Also; Trapattoni may play the most boring football on earth but he's just took an eye-wateringly minging Ireland team to the Euros.
  8. Who? I don't think they've got the money to unless they start cashing in on the crown jewels.
  9. All of them are exceptions to your theory man So what if they are managing top clubs, you've got to be managing a top club to win the title and they've still done an excellent job. Ancellotti's Chelsea were one of the most formidable sides the league has seen, his sacking was absolutely farcical. Italy has always produced the best coaches and their success over here backs it up. Di Canio is another excellent example!
  10. Aye, that's what I mean. He's the same height, build, position and playing style to Silva but not as good. The one advantage he has is that he scores more goals, which I acknowledged in my first post.
  11. Because he's better than Jermaine Defoe and they can't afford Adebayor?
  12. Is he hell! He's a superb talent. A bit quicker than Silva and probably scores more goals. You're making out that being a poor man's David Silva was me insinuating that he is bad. He is an excellent player.
  13. Was Lombardo manager at Palace for a while or have I made that up? Player manager aye!
  14. So basically, all of them except Zola have been extremely succesful. Nice theory.
  15. Di Matteo: Champions League FA Cup
  16. Vialli: Football League Cup: 1998 UEFA Cup Winners' Cup 1998 UEFA Super Cup: 1998 FA Cup: 2000 FA Charity Shield: 2000
  17. Van Persie, sorry. Thiago Silva is not a good partner for Kompany. Lescott is better. A matter of style, not quality. Although I agree Savic needs to be replaced asap. Talking about attacking wide players, they already have play maker like Nasri and David Silva, and sometimes Aguero would play out wide too. Unless they sold Adam Johnson, I don't think they need to have one more, unless it is as good as Hazard, but currently there is none. Their ultimate problem is Mancini, not the players. So in order to accommodate Mancini, they really need to sign the best players available in the market --- but the top 2 targets are already taken by Chelsea. Eh?! You rate Mancini? Serious? Trophies at all 4 clubs he's been at. Yes. Mancini this year, Ancelotti won the double two years ago, Ranieri did a good job at Chelsea?

  19. They seem to be very supportive of this on RAWK... I don't understand why Martinez was the anti-christ but Rodgers is great.
  20. I honestly think Swansea's success goes deeper than the manager, with continuity in personel behind the scenes and a style of play now engrained in the club - largely started by Martinez. It will be interesting to see how Rodgers will do outside of it. Reminds me a bit of McLaren doing well at Twente but stinking everywhere else, a very well ran club.
  21. Must admit I would be pissed if he went to Spurs.
  22. Rodgers it is then, bloody ell.

  24. Poor man's David Silva. Chips in with goals though.
