  1. Couldn't tell you what kind of player he was. Shame Uruguay won't be one of the sides at SJP, think they'll take it very seriously considering their history in the competition.
  2. Liverpool were linked to him in January. I imagine he'll be going to the 'limpics?
  3. Good. Agreed but don't quite see how you can be happy to see someone with such a limited ability, who has consistently returned some of the worst efforts on a football pitch in a Toon shirt, live like a king, indirectly having taken money from supporters who work a thousand times harder and get a lot less financial reward. Clearly this is extremely deep-rooted. Fair enough, but I still maintain that you can't criticise him for wanting to stay and play for his hometown club.
  4. Martinez will be crushed there. Not a big enough name and I suspect not mentally strong enough. As soon as he loses a few games all hell will break loose. You make me sick. Already salivating over your next victim.
  5. That'll be the reason they brought banners to the game too, I guess.
  6. He's already got a Dutch passport. But he has to have been in Holland 5 years to get past the residency rule for the Dutch FA to pick him.
  7. That's a totally different tangent, I've already said I have no problem bemoaning his ability level.
  8. Shola has played 333 games in 12 years for NUFC. Taking into account injuries that is still a hell of a lot of playing time. I imagine plenty on here would rather spend their entire careers at NUFC than move elsewhere given the opportunities.
  9. You could say that for loads of squad players at loads of different clubs man It's no different to some of say the Man Utd academy grads who have hung around only playing half the games. Same thing with Shola, just with an inferior club and inferior player.
  10. What a twat Shola is, for being settled and happy playing for his hometown club. Come on, criticise his playing ability all you like but that's a daft criticism of the man. Harper I can agree with - backup goalkeepers are a slightly different situation.
  11. He's a detestable little turd of a man and so are you for rimming his anus.
  12. Self-depracating - but also completely batshit mental.
  13. It's hardly a controversial point. Personally though I'm sick of playing against teams packed full of cheats, wind up merchants, dirt bastards and general cunts. I'd like to see us have 1 or 2 that can give it back. Don't say Barton - he's just thick as fuck.
  14. Not to mention he's fucking Scottish.
  15. The guy who spent 50m and Etoo on Ibrahimovic? He'll fit right in with those loonies. You and your endless vendetta against one of the domestic game's most consistently successful players. Could have been far more creative here. Chygrynskiy, Hleb, Cacares, Keirrison, Maxi Lopez, Quaresma.
  16. Agree to an extent. Most of it is extremely unneccessary, but it can be beneficial to have snide cunts on your team.
  17. Made some absolutely rotten purchases at Barca.

I think it might be worth giving him a new contract as player-coach. He's well liked around the training ground, seems to have picked up some form too. We desperately need squad depth for the Europa League and with CM and CF both being problem positions during the African Cup of Nations he'd be decent option to have.
  19. FUCKING HELL TITANIC SANK
  20. And you base that on what? He is manager for my favorite team in Norway. He's not a cunt. He's in fact very sympathetic and solid, well respected professional. Like Pards, he's capable of caring, but he's not afraid to put his foot down if needed. He doesn't tolerate smugness or disrespectful behavior from players, such as diving inside the penalty area or shouting at the referees. Not long ago, a player dived. Immediately after the match the player had to apologize to the media for his behavior. He's a young SAF, but without the extreme subjective remarks and desire to manipulate the media to his own benefit. http://i0.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/newsfeed/000/207/234/you-must-be-new-here-willy-wonka.jpg
  21. Quite the contrary. Celtic are seen as a big club with strong marketing so his sponsors will love it and he can also pass it off as 'top level', while he'll also be playing against the equivalent of League 1 sides and look like he's still 'prolific'. Of course the spanner in the works is when Jon Daly, Gary Hooper and Sone Aluko all outscore him.
  22. We should have a thread like that on here.
  23. I'm not sure he's got the intensity and stamina for Swansea's midfield. I know it'd never happen but he should go abroad rather than go to somewhere like Villa.
  24. Exactly. His win percentage at Wigan is 26,77% - hardly impressive even for a "small" club like Wigan. He only finished 9 points behind Dogleash this season though.
