Maybe he was more meaning some of the players (Perch in particular) should feel lucky to be at a club that is competing for European places.

They wasted money on shite, everybody but them could see the outcome before a ball was kicked. That's not underachievement, that's just being terrible in the transfer market. Their points tally and position is about right considering their squad, starting XI and manager - so no I don't think they've underperformed. They're 7th rather than 6th because we have had such a good season so far.

I think most of their fans would disagree. Fair enough they won the cup, but considering their summer spending, their league campaign has been hugely disappointing. At home in particular. Yes but you said they've 'underperformed considering the squad they've got' as if it is packed full of fantastic players. I'd say they've got the 6th best squad in the league.

Liverpool haven't massively underachieved at all. They've underachieved by maybe 5 points at an absolute most, plenty on here said they had no chance of top four before things kicked off.
  7. He doesn't cost us with Given style command of the area either.
  8. Ridiculously despite getting this deduction Sion probably won't get relegated. Success of Basel in CL very much papering over the cracks in Swiss football. Neuchatel Xamax went out of business a couple of months ago and Servette have recently filed for bankruptcy, both top flight clubs. The latter in particular very well supported and historic club.

Was a cracking save I thought Thought he let the defence catch up with him/keeper close him down too soon. The ball from Jonas was inch perfect but he didn't seem to want to commit to the decision - put it this way, Owen would have made his mind up to take it round the keeper or to curl it past him before the ball had reached him, Cisse still seemed caught in two minds and ended up trying to knock it past the keeper when Ruddy had done a good job of closing down the space. Encouraging to see that he's still very much rough around the edges, would be fantastic to see him develop into his potential with us Good player that Owen fella, predatory. Cisse should've put his laces through it IMO, through the keeper or make him work rather than a relatively comfortable stop in the end. The Owen of NUFC would have hit it timidly at the goalkeeper AND broken his ankle in the process. Useless cunt.
  10. Don't care if he might be right, can tell he enjoyed saying that. Probably bashing one out over that comment right now.
  11. For his 'nothingness' Cabaye could have had 3 assists today. Honestly don't think he did as bad as some thought today, thought he was far better than Guthrie.
  12. These highlights have made us look pretty good
  13. He's inconsistent as fuck, looks good when Man Utd are bossing weaker teams. Bollocks, he's one of their most consistent players. Does well against good sides too, Arsenal and the derby against Liverpool recently just off the top of my head. In fact, the only time I can remember him having a genuine stinker against a top team was the CL final.
  14. Hernandez must stink or something. Nobody in the same postcode as him.
  15. Love Tony Valencia me like. Great player.
  16. Very well last couple of months, wasn't first choice first half of the season.
