Villa are a tired old horse waiting for the bullet. Well and truly shot their load of the O'Neill era. Uninspiring squad, uninspiring manager - they are basically us during the Souness/Roeder/Allardyce years.
He'd be a top class midfielder if he wasn't so damn slow. Ramires looked like a racehorse whilst Danny looked like a donkey from 2000 BC carrying pots and pans or spices or whatever s*** donkeys used to carry back then.
Ramires tears away from nearly every midfielder going. No idea how he manages to fit those 6 lungs in his skinny little frame.
I'd have Tavernier competing with Simpson now anyway. Simpson is so poor on the ball it's almost nauseating. He can be reasonably solid defensively, but it's got to be said he's a poor footballer.
He seemed to kick the ground again, I'm not sure if that's the case but it looked like it.
Aye, bit of a spacker thing to do like. Don't see many professional players do it. I do it all the time like cos I'm shite.
That's what happens when it's 2 v 3 though. Many a time Guthrie was on the ball with zero movement or options around him, he did very well in the circumstances.
I obviously love Cabaye and he's the better player but I really think he's been outshone the last few games. Possibly because he's having to do more defensive work mind.
Banged this drum before but I thought Douglas was good against Fulham the other night. He's the obvious choice for me and somebody we'd be aware of. In France there's obviously that guy from Montpellier, who are another side we've seemingly watched a lot.
Can't think of anybody in this country I'd like to sign who is realistic.
Thought he was outstanding and comfortably our best outfield player. Was a bit gutted for him near the end when he misplaced what was basically his first pass of the game and there was a massive groan.
For the love of christ, sign a centre back in January.
If Taylor injury is as serious as it sounds, then there is absolutely no excuse. Don't even want a Ridgewell type backup player, get somebody from the continent.
