You may be right, but when he has two opposition and his team-mate is free 10 yards away he shouldn't try to f***ing beat two men, he looks like he has frigging tunnel vision, has no awareness that his team-mates are free despite them and 4000 mental Geordies shouting it out to him. Gutierrez might be frustrating but we weren't exactly doing well before he came on either. In fact we were getting pissed on. I never said we weren't getting pissed on, I expressed an opinion about Guttierez based on what I saw of him yesterday. Based on what I saw yesterday I'd rather see Jonas starting left wing ahead of Lovenkrands every day of the week. Rather remarkably I made the comment that Lovenkrands should never be played on the wing when we signed him the first time and you won't be hearing me arguing for him to be played on the wing at any point in the future either. So basically Jonas is the best option like i said. We agree. If he gains some awareness instead of running around with blinkers on it will improve his game, yes. So until he gains some awareness he shouldn't start? Who said he shouldn't start? Sorry I misread your non sequitor and thought you were saying he should only play if he gains some awareness.

I wouldn't say he has no awareness, a couple of times to beat a man and switched play to the other side of the field, stretching the team more than we did most of the game. Aye and a couple of times he didn't bother passing the ball to lads 10 yards away from him who were clear and instead attempted to beat two men only to be dispossed. So he does have awareness then? Football is a team game, if the team is playing crap most players won't look good no matter how good they are (see Messi with Argentina), I'm not saying Jonas should be immune to criticism because some of his decisions yesterday were stupid. The criticism is still over the top in my opinion though, everyone could see we played better as a team with him on the field than with him off it.

To be fair to Sillius, Ashley could, and probably is, talking crap. Doesn't mean anyone else knows anything though.
-
Who's offered £100m then? How come the papers don't have this 'scoop'?
-
Howay then Sillius, when's the takeover going to happen?

As opposed to someone who knows everything...

Why has it got to be somebody with Carroll? It doesn't. One is obviously a mistake and should say Ranger-Harewood.
-
To be fair, last time Scunny were in the Championship, most games were sellouts. They (we ) were a league two club a few years back. Are you a Scunthorpe fan?
-
Lovenkrands and Ranger as our strike force? I think that's the worst combination at the moment (with no Shola) behind Carroll-Harewood, Ranger-Carroll and Harewood-Ranger (in no particular order).

All I've heard this week is pundits banging on about how big the Blackburn and Burnley derby is, so why were there less than 27k fans in a stadium that hold 30k+?

Every other club uses this same rubbish argument with Newcastle. You should've stuck with Allardyce, Robson, Roeder, Dalglish, Gullit etc. etc. but football isn't that easy, everyone realises the benefits of a long term plan and a long term manager but it isn't as easy as to just appoint any manager and then let him 'build for the future', football would be easy in this case, a chairman could just pick a manager, not sack him and let the trophies come rolling in.... I want long term stability but what's the point in employing a manager who'll never be good enough?

I don't really like the sound of any of them going out half the time. They seem to go out more often than normal people who don't have to keep their body in tip top condition.

Although some players are looking terrible I don't really see the merits in blaming individuals. I don't really rate Harewood or Lovenkrands but if we had a decent manager and a decent gameplan even our worst players would look decent. Too many people were too quick to praise Hughton this season, saying rubbish like 'he can motivate the players better than Shearer!', did no-one watch our team under Hughton last season? We were woeful, even Kinnear was an improvement. Hughton is doing the best job he can so we can't really have a go but despite what people have been saying we do have the best squad in the league and we should be bloody top. Keegan showed when he was here that you can make average players play with the best, Robson managed to get a team into the Champions League with a defence of Griffin-O'Brien-Bramble-Bernard , good managers will make a team look good, it's no wonder our play is so disjointed, not fluid, and the players don't seem to be on the same wavelength, this isn't because they're rubbish (no worse than any other players in this league anyway) it's because we have two coaches 'managing' a team.

Like the long-ball tactics we played in the first half? No actually, far from it. I mean passing it along the floor and crossing it into the box, rather than fancy flicks and run ons, and lobbing it up to the strikers and hoping a midfielder suddenly finds a burst of pace. We played our best football because we were doing what I just said above. The Reading game in particular shows where are strengths were, yet we haven't reproduced a similar performance since. And in that game, Jonas still managed to f*** up a chance. We won the game because Enrique and Jonas played well though, they contributed to the result. I'm happy with Jonas playing well, us winning 3-0 and him skying a shot every so often. It beats watching Lovenkrands look like an amateur most games.

Is this even true? Don't we make a little less than £1m a match from gate receipts (or did in the PL anyway)? Add that to merchandise etc. and I'd say the fans put more money into the club than Ashley. What's more ridiculous is that he even thinks he needs to mention it. It's not a competition ffs, who cares if he puts more money in than the fans; he's still a f***ing failure. Exactly. He gets more annoying by the day. When he first wanted to sell we got his gay heartfelt apology and he's taking digs at the fans? What a cock.

fyp Funny how alot are doing this, and they'll probably be the same people shouting and abusing Jonas when he f***s up on Tuesday. He made two crap shots but this was during a game when I don't think the whole team got a shot on target? (can't remember one anyway). We played better when he came on IMO and he even put one or two decent balls into the box as well as pushing the team forward. Even if he is '****' he's still a better winger than Lovenkrands. 10 seconds to go. Instead of lobbing the ball into the box, he tried stupidly to go round his man and lost the ball. When he should have passed, he made two ridiculous shots which skied into the stands. The last thing we need now is complication. To get out of this league, we need to play simple, straightforward football. Something that he's clearly incapable of doing. Lovenkrands is incapable of playing any ball as well, as I said you've got to pick the lesser of two evils and that is Jonas.

I wouldn't either but I'd rather he played instead of Lovenkrands. And that's ten players palnese.
-
I think he got a touch but it barely changed the direction of the ball.
