You just seem to have a really good memory for a 5 or 6 year old a lot of the time, that's all.

I'm sure you said something about David Kelly's goal against Pompey a while ago when you would've been about 4 or 5 I assume.

Nah, maybe in this country. On a wider scale he'll never be overshadowed by Messi, ever. What do you mean in this country? He's a better player full stop. Only those who are Brazilian or biased would disagree. The fact that you say he will never be overshadowed pretty much shows that you fall into the biased camp. Bias has nothing to do with what's there on paper, and on paper Messi hasn't achieved as much as Ronaldo, yet. Plus, you're 12 years old, how do you know who the better player is/was? How old are you then? Just to clear this up because you seem to offer an opinion on every player from the 1970s onwards. Like who? http://www.newcastle-online.org/nufcforum/index.php/topic,76635.msg2995904.html#msg2995904 Didn't see much of a few of those? What are you early twenties? Would have see any of of Zico, Maradona, Matthaus playing in their pomp?

Well if you look at it from a subjective point of view then, yea, its hard to argue that Messi is better.

To motivate what, fed-up season ticket holders to attack him with sticks? Young black kids
-
If we're paying off the whole contract rather than striking a deal then we may as well keep him as a motivational speaker.

Amazing player, thought he would've been the best player for a while but he's been completely overshadowed by Messi.

Bruno 2 trailer?

If he is out loan it could prove harder for Pards to dump him Hows that? As for the Carroll quotes, he confirms he it was a good experience then? If he signs a 3 month loan deal a club wont be able snap him up until Jan. There seems a few clubs willing to buy Nile so may as well not bother with a loan deal. Likewise he says "It was a bit disappointing" Fair point. Especially if the club want rid asap as well.

He was hopeless for them last season. Talented player who will get better. Well, he was hopeless and just about most mackems are glad to see the back of him. Not suited to the premiership as well. wat I think he means the other black one.

As wormy says its hard to point to a single moment that changed Carroll. He went to Preston without a PL goal and came back and a season later had 3 in about 5 starts. Obviously hundreds of factors come into play but I'm sure dropping down a division, getting roughed up and having to play under more pressure than with the reserves would have helped him at least a little. As this whole thread is about Ranger I don't see how sending Ranger out for the same would be a bad thing in any way, shape or form.

Feel free to expand on this It can't be that hard to work out. If you can't work it out in a few days I'll just post a picture from a TV show to support my argument.

AC was s**** for Preston. He was poor in the 1st half the Championship season as he was scud like but then the 2nd half the season his shots on target improved dramatically & along came the goals. Aye. Stupid post. "Stupid post" ? My point was simple. when he was at preston he played pretty poor and even had problems with the coaching staff iirc, but it helped open his eyes and when he came back from his loan he came back a better player for us..he learned from his spell out and started improving as a player. same could happen to Ranger. He got shitter the longer he stayed at Preston. Bernard move to Darlington was a great loan move, AC to Preston was s*** & did nothing really. Not all loan moves work out. He's not making the point that he improved on the field but that he improved off it. Are we still talking about AC? Yup. IF you think AC improved off the field while at Preston then good for you http://www.hybridcars.com/files/imagecache/article_lead_image/files/graphics/south-park-smug-313.gif I'm talking about behaviour that directly relates to his on-field performance. I'm sure you'll come up with some made-up itk stories about what's going on around the town as you seem to do a lot on here.

The loan still benefitted him though. He was also decent in the 1st half of the Championship season but everyone was too quick to get on his back when he wasn't scoring, his general play was still good. Obviously strikers will also be judged on goals, which is fair enough, but he still brought other things to the team.

What the hell is going on with his hand in that photo?

did he ? ferguson played well i'll grant you but there was little link up play. brace do play a short passing game but not as short as jose and jonas like it. when he doesn't give it to jonas it's often a poor pass/decision instead. When he doesn't give it to Jonas he's blasting it long though, at Barca he'd have a lot more options than just the winger in front of him. it's through going long he reduces the options, the winger shouldn't need to be 2ft away and he often has options inside. it will be interesting to see when/if he goes what he's like in possessioin without jonas there contracting all the play. The going long is down to a lack of options. That's just the way we play at the moment. no it isn't as jonas doesn't seem to (even when he should),simpson doesn't and barton hasn't half as much since carroll left, tiote doesn't,nolan doesn't get the ball enough to,williamson does, colo doesn't,taylor does more than colo but not williamson.......have i missed anyone ? Taylor, Colo, Barton, Simpson and Williamson all go long during games. Surely you can see that players more likely to go long are those with more of the field to aim at? Why would Nolan and Jonas be hitting it long from the positions they are generally in?
