Never fails to get one.

The anti-Pardew echo chamber only goes so far, like. You need to stick to N-O if you want a pat on the back just for calling the manager a cunt. What are you even on about, at this point? Are you on the wind-up or not? Because otherwise you seem to be criticising justified criticism for the sake of it. All Jack's having a go at is the various shallow arguments that surface when Pardew's managerial abilities are picked apart. It's not about just wanting to see one point of view, it's about not ever seeing an alternative point of view that makes any sense.

Hilarious that Richard Dunne got in the 09/10 one.
-
Got 165/210 on that btw. It's a good one. 146/210 not enough time for brain to remember all them names. Although I was awful at the most recent 2-3, and good at the 10 before that. 159. Pissed off.

Just about to start... with Hyypia.

It puts perfectly into words why I can't stand him. We've often been shit and always been ultimately unsuccessful, but he's sucked the fun out of following the club. I love his theory about Chris Hughton being unable to live up to previous home form, versus Pardew's attempts to always make each game a bore-fest. Same could be said about Roeder starting well and actually quite thrillingly, and also periods of other poor manager's reigns. Pardew doesn't let excitement last.

Why are NPW posts always at the worst times, man? Forum's fucked.

I mean you can't expect another post in 15 minutes, but you can probably expect one before I go to bed.

Got 165/210 on that btw. It's a good one. Gonna try this now-ish, will be amazed if I get that high. Too many random defenders I'll never think of.

 Man, that's the best thing I've ever read outlining why Pardew has been such a disaster at NUFC. Please let us know if/when it's published, so I can share it.

By turning up in this thread to divert the blame to Ashley. there's a thread for Ashley in case you missed it. Dear me.
-
Massively. Players like Andy Cole, Robbie Fowler and Les Ferdinand didn't even get that many caps. You also had the likes of Shearer, Sheringham, Le Tissier, Sutton, Wright... Who have I missed?
-
Well it seems like you'd need to qualify why you'd take the piss out of him for being irrevocably shit. New development.
-
He's tried to take the club down to his level and in many ways he's managed it.

I feel privileged to support football in an age where the quality is insanely good, and it's so accessible, but part of me really wishes I supported it 'back in the day'. There used to be "characters" in football. Hardly any of them knocking about these days. Look at the England squad in the mid-90s versus now. Suppose it's an effect of players being set for life by the time they're 20, with a load of minders looking after their affairs - it turns them into absolute bores.
-
Massively. Or like that lad said on the phone-in the other day if he just admitted he was glad to be in the job and didn't always justify our transfer (in)activity. Suppose that steps on your point about him being a liar. In my opinion, he's one of the worst men ever to be associated with the club. Not a shred of integrity. Couldn't lace someone like Glenn Roeder's boots in that respect.
-
Sorry for dissolving my argument to mockery so quickly, but that statement's absolutely insane. I'll leave you alone now.
-
"Ah well, he's shit at his job, bless him. Even though it directly affects me and how happy I am in a significant chunk of my spare time, I should let him off".
-
Holy shit. I've never before realised I should be more sympathetic towards and less scathing of shit NUFC managers. Good God, no wonder we haven't won a trophy for 45 years if this nonsense prevails in the heads of even a small minority of our support. If the manager is categorically shit then you should abuse them and get rid of them, that's what every other club in the world does. That's how football works.
