  1. Impossible to tick all those boxes, 442 always means hoof with this chap.
  2. We're only 9 points clear of 11th. "A fucking certainty". We really need to turn our form around to make it even a likely outcome. Carry on as we are and we'll continue our freefall down the league.
  3. How's that? There is only a finite number of points to be gained and no whipping boys at the bottom gifting everyone wins. are you saying its not mathematically possible? 13 points from safety the rate we are shipping goals suddenly looks unconvincing to me-tbh it would serve fat fuck right if he gambled thinking we were safe and we blew it..... I'm saying we'd need 10 or so teams to catch us, I'm not even sure there are enough points to go around in order to make that happen. Generally it would make sense that you would need more points to stay up if a) there are 1 or 2 teams marooned at the bottom on next to no points, and b) the teams near the top are dropping more points than usual. Whereas in reality a) it's so tight at the bottom it's unreal, nobody has got hammered every week over the course of the whole season, and b) we have 6-7 teams at the top of the league all in pretty excellent form and winning a significant amount of their games, by and large. Usually there are only 3-5 sides showing this kind of form. In short, the teams below us have to all over-take us somehow, which seems unlikely given how the season is panning out.

  6. Howay lads, you're being a bit over the top and emotional.
  7. On the back of one result as well, how unfortunate. Toys out of the pram.
  8. Yeah, he got 9 out of 11 players right, so not too bad. It's difficult to see where Pardew's responsibility begins at times with some people, even getting 9 out of the starting 11 right with limited available options is "good".
  9. I reckon more people wanted shot of Bobby Robson near the end than is the case with Pardew now. NUFC managers were seen to take a fair proportion of the blame for poor performances and results by media and the vast majority of the fans in those days mind.
  10. I agree with Stifler, that's how fucking shit things have become.
  11. So he needs to explicitly say "Reason X led to result or bad period of form Y"? I'd say if someone rattles off a list of negative happenings when questioned about something then you can justifiably say they're being put forward as reasons (or "excuses") for what they're being questioned about.
  12. It's a massive, massive problem. I do agree, but what passion/commitment that is there in the players has been eroded and nullified. The lack of ambition from the top down has washed away a culture which can sustain professional pride, I can't see how it couldn't tbh. I'm not as convinced our first XI is as poor, ability wise, as they've been showing lately. Cabaye is a fucking huge loss though, and our balance has been thrown the fuck off without him. Still, our first XI is only a few players short of being a pretty decent outfit that can compete well with most teams. Well, in theory anyway if not with Pardew. Beneath that, we're a long, long way off a top four squad. I'm beginning to think Cabaye was the only one knitting the side together, he was our outstanding player by a country mile and our form and results has basically been linked to if he was playing and how well he was playing. Without him the entire team is lost and we've lost any and all creativity in the centre of midfield, Tiote's good at what he does but it ain't anything that will be in anyway positive in the final third (we've also missed him badly in the last 2 games) Anita-what the hell does he actually do? He doesn't win the ball he has fuck all ability to create something what is the point of him? Sissoko is what he is, a player with tremendous physical attributes not so many technical attributes. Throw in a lack of natural width full backs who can't defend to save their lives and the strikers the club actually owns being worth the square root of fuck all its not in anyway surprising when you take out the outstanding player in the side and refuse to even bother to replace him that our form nosedives. No offence, but if you've not known that was the case since about Cabaye's third or fourth game for us, you weren't watching carefully enough. I got that he was important but christ I didn't think the entire team would look like poor league 1 players without him there. Looked fine against Norwich (without a finishing touch) before Pardew had his style-of-play epiphany. One of the best 45 minutes I've seen from an NUFC side without scoring for a long time in fact. Also Norwich have looked handy since, so it's not like they're in horrendous form or can't play at all. I love these. Remember the last one before we played Spurs? Got beat 5-0. Was at that one, wanted to go home after 20 minutes.
  13. You're getting no comment from me until I've heard a tape recording. Might have been being sarcy for all we know.

  15. Aye, fine when you put it that way actually. On to the next game.
  16. I could actually feel myself putting the players under pressure at 3-0 down so for the 2nd time in my life and for the 2nd home game running I left early to take the pressure off them. How did we let in a 4th when the ground was almost empty and the players were under less pressure? Damage was already done.
  17. This bloke is a right abortion of a manager, I've just sat in the freezing cold for hours being bored shitless and the prick only thinks about himself. Actually your negativity probably didn't help, Mick. But if less people had turned up that would have contributed to a loss too. Hard to please Pards. Literally no atmosphere tonight until we went 0-2 down and then things got mildly irritated. Of course, that is the worst atmosphere in the league. Sounds poisonous, lucky we got away with 4.
