Again, I think it's hot air. Llambias is a glorified politician. He changes his tune all the time and will do so again, on this issue. We were following the Villa model and then the Arsenal model, etc. When it was good PR to push the 8 year stability angle he did it. I don't place any significance on what they say in the press.

That is pure rubbish, sorry. You make money by being successful. We're buying good players and the manager hasn't a clue, therefore it makes no financial sense to keep him on.
-
They spent more money in January than it would have cost to sack Pardew and get a decent manager in. It hasn't worked, hopefully they'll spot the weak link now.
-
Why? Because he apparently gets along with them? I don't get it. I think he'll get binned. There's no honour with people like Ashley and Llambias so I don't know why people are giving the idea they won't f*** their mate over any credence. Yes, they've got him under their thumb but they could have another manager under their thumb. Who? They couldn't even have Hughton under their thumb. No disrespect to the man, but it's not like he had a history of success, or even a credible CV. Who are they going to convince to come and work under them? I'm sure he'll be worrying about his 8 year contract decision because he seems like an exclusively self involved cunt. He won't want to look bad after apparently starting to get things right. I also don't think he really knows how to be pro active. He's an opportunist that seems to benefit from the misfortune of others and his propensity to sell shit. That doesn't bode well for us. What's our owner got in his locker to change this, never mind our manager? We're getting more continental with everything we do, I don't see why someone couldn't come in as first team coach and do a similar job to what they were doing abroad. And I don't think Ashley's that arsed about what people think, and if he is then he'll look a hell of a lot worse when he's getting everything right off the pitch and he's being made to look a fucking idiot on it. I think this "we can't do any better than Pardew" stuff is a sad reflection of the Ashley regime and I don't think it's actually true. I'll stick my neck out and say I'd be really surprised and disappointed if Pardew is in charge in August, I just don't see how it could be allowed to happen now.

Yes, they've got him under their thumb but they could have another manager under their thumb if they wanted, and that person could make their job easier / more profitable so why wouldn't they?

A 0-3 defeat at home to the mackems didn't do it, in fact he seemed taken aback at how harsh the (relatively mild) criticism was after that horrible defeat. No idea if he's on the same page as the board with thoughts like that, but you know. Today was our worst home defeat since 1925 and it wasn't against a team blitzing the league or anything, it was against an average Liverpool side missing their best player. I don't think he'll get sacked off the back of this defeat either but we'll see. So what does he have to do to get the bullet? Is he bulletproof? If you think not then how much do you think he'll have to fuck up before he's sacked?

Seems harsh as fuck that like, he's a nice lad from my experience. Which article you on about anyway?

 You're funny as fuck. I think Inochi's just shown himself to have incredible tolerance levels this year, I've no idea how someone can be so optimistic in the face of so much horrible shit happening left, right and centre. Tbf I did have it in the back of my mind that he might end up being sort of right, our form might pick up a bit and it'd be sort of alright. I don't think anyone could have seen these results coming, no matter what your outlook. 0-3 and 0-6 against the mackems and Liverpool is just so catastrophic. -
Fantastic article, he's absolutely spot-on with every single thing he says.
-
Man, I'm getting into the business of dissecting this daft cunt's quotes again. Here goes then, what the fuck is he on about with this experience stuff? It sounds like yet another excuse. It's just vague fluff. How could he have taken advantage of more experience, by playing Shola and Harper?
-
I've had a couple message me on Facebook saying stuff along the lines of "everything you've been saying played out exactly like that today", etc. Again, I take no pleasure in it whatsoever - in fact I think I've been a bit wrong to a degree like because (and I'm not taking the piss here) I didn't think it could get this bad. I thought we were dealing with a guy that would lead us to dull, uninspiring and ultimately very limited football that wouldn't get us anywhere - I had no idea it could have got this bad with the personnel available and I'm absolutely flabbergasted that we're one of the favourites for relegation at this stage. Ignore the Pardew stuff for a moment and we, as a club, have underperformed so massively this season it's unreal. Just hoping there's not a horrible twist to come.
-
I can't even believe what I've just read there. He did a canny job today then you thought? The players just made us look a bit of a mess with the way they played? That was our heaviest home defeat since 1925, 2 weeks ago we had by far the most humiliating result in the time I've been supporting the club, don't know about you. But nah, he's doing OK, the players just aren't organised enough or something. Are you taking the mick or what? Erm, what? I thought his apology/reaction was alright in the NUFCTV piece but have complained bitterly all night about stuff he got wrong in about 10 threads on here. Where the f*** did I say he was doing an alright job? The only thing I was questioning was whether some of the basic errors were down to players or rubbish instructions. Perch, Tiote and Jonas were abysmal for tracking their men, whether that's because they weren't sure who to track or if they're because they're thick is what's got me stumped. Soz mate, I actually mis-read your post. Thought you said "I thought that was OK from him personally" and presumed you were talking about his performance today. I haven't read his comments after the game, can somebody post them please? Again, apologies - jumped on you for no reason there.

Really don't know how anybody can defend him. It's driving me crazy, nearly as much as Pardew himself is. People on here mock and bash Pardew for his godawful excuse making and constant attempts to pour cold water on expectations with depressing negativity - but the fact is for the majority it seems to be working. People have lapped up the Europe, injuries etc excuses. A successful brainwashing campaign has given a shite manager untouchable status amongst a large section of the fanbase. Fucking unreal. If blindly backing the manager as he guides us towards relegation is the virtues of the level-headed matchgoing fan then I think I'd rather be with the social media mentalists who want the cunt gone. Very good post, you've hit the nail on the head in terms of what's driving me mental at the minute. People talk to me like I'm a fucking nutcase when I express my opinion on this. You do realise he just called us mentalists like Aye, worra prick.

Ah mannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn. Did he actually fucking say that? Got another one to add to your sig. Could genuinely make a fucking book out of his excuses. And not a very good book. Certainly not Bravo Two Zero by Andy McNab, which actually improves with every read.

They are professionals, the problem is that they are normal humans and they are affected by the same things as all of us. The team selection screwed us and we had no chance once we went a goal behind so early. Pardew should have made changes within the first 5 minutes and he didn’t. He’s let us all down, the club, the players and the fans. I agree with both of you. You know my feelings on Pardew but the players weren't good enough in their general application today, at all. They're clearly fucking fed up but they owe it to the fans they profess to loving when it suits them to put in a better shift than that, even if they are operating under idiotic instructions.

What were they saying? Basically saying that none of it can be attributed to him, players are gutless, board haven't backed him and Europe has taken its toll. Just totally flabbergasting. Seriously? I'm always a bit loath to criticise fans who go to all the home games (like my dad, mates, etc) when I only go to a handful of (usually away) games each season. However, I'm astonished at that. I can only put it down to people being taken in by his personality and his bullshit, but that isn't any less disappointing. We, as a group of supporters, should be able to see through that shite. He's using every excuse in the book and people are swallowing it, thankfully my dad's not one of them or else we'd end up having a proper falling out.
-
There was nearly a fight broke out right in front of me after the third goal. One old bloke going fucking spare and everyone else turning on him. To both of you - what are defenders of him saying at this stage? I am not looking forward to going to West Ham, I might see if I can sell the ticket. One thing that's just dawned on me is this: people always go on about this idea that a good manager wouldn't come near us, I don't agree with that in any case but I'll put that aside for a moment. I think a good manager with something to prove would be fucking dying to come and work here, regardless of the stature of the club etc, for the simple reason that they'll look at the squad and think "Fuck me, I'll be able to raise standards with that set of players immeasurably with no bother at all". We're unfortunately again at the stage where we're waiting helplessly on the whims of an enigmatic and eccentric owner to see what the craic is. If we don't make a change then we're obviously going nowhere, and that's the best case scenario. Worst case scenario is we go down this year, next worst is that we're fucked early doors next year. I think you'd have to be utterly insane to think we can achieve anything now if we carry on with this lark.

YEAH MOFO'S!!!!!!!!!! the saddest bastards are those gloating cos we got beat 6-0 at home. I don't want to fall out with you at all, but you can fuck off implying I'm not as fuming about today as you are (I'm assuming I'm one of the haters you're referring to). I'm probably more angry if anything, because I've been telling my mates where this was going for months and they've only just started listening. So pissed off with it now. ok Fair point, read the rest of it though. Do you honestly think people who have been on Pardew's back are gloating about today? I'm fucking devastated.

6-0 at home to a midtable side without by far and away their best player. I can't believe it. We can't buy a win away from home and we've just shipped 9 goals in 2 home games against mediocre opposition. It's beyond incompetence now.

Your hate is misdirected in part. A good deal of it should be directed at those above him as well. You won't catch me having a problem with directing some of the blame at them daft cunts.
