I bet Van Persie's missed 10 or 20 decent chances this season and that's one of the best players in the league, in a side that's geared towards him scoring. Andy Cole scored 41 goals in a season for us once and I bet he missed just as many chances. It's harsh to say he's had 5 or 6 chances in 10 games and should have scored most/all of them. He should have definitely got the Man City one on target but he should be getting 2 or 3 chances a game in the middle of a front 3.

Wullie's post is far more valid than yours to be honest, Unbelievable. He hasn't been getting that many chances at all, and we haven't been playing to his strengths.

Exactly. What Ferguson said sounded melodramatic and it was to an extent, but Van Persie could have been caused some serious damage.

I'm not sure I agree that he could have been killed, but he could have broken his neck. Smashing a hard ball into someone's head like that, he could have definitely hurt him badly.

Proof right there that no matter what he does, he'll always get stick. Not "finds" the right formula, but "stumbles upon". I think "stumbles upon" is a fair summary tbh, since he's been actively playing against the team's strengths for much of the season. Stop acting like people won't give him credit where it's due, we're all willing him to play the right side and to do well.

I don't find it amusing when he makes comments that imply that he's not seeing what everyone else is seeing. Those Jonas quotes were seriously alarming.
