He's looked tidy enough whenever he's played and was highly regarded by all accounts before he joined. Not sure he can be completely written off yet when he's only been available for about 20% of games since he signed. My main concern has always been with his fitness. It's very weird that he's nowhere near the team now though.

Seems to me that he's not playing ball with the versatility thing. Perch is better than him at CM, and he doesn't want to play RB, so he's on the bench. That's how i'm seeing it, anyway. I'd have him at RB every week tbh. I find that very strange then, Pardew will/should have known that this would be an issue if that's the case. Quite often there are only 2 central midfield spots to be had and you've got Cabaye, Tiote, Perch and even Bigi and Jonas ahead of him in the pecking order. Surely he'd rather play than not play.

What's going on with this guy, why's he not getting a game? Given his versatility and the fact that not many of our lot are setting the world alight you'd think he'd play. Amazed that Simpson has just strolled back into the team like he's one of our most important players.

Personally I think most of the comments are borne out of frustration at looking forward to the match every week and being repeatedly disappointed by the performance. The "8 more years" idea is quite relevant to me as I can see myself losing interest a bit if I'm watching shite like that all the time. I'm starting to think that the whole thing is an elaborate plan orchestrated by my girlfriend to stop me watching so much football.

Ive mainly just argued towards people keeping faith in Pardew/Our transfer policy as most have been losing that. After our previous ability to turn over managers, i just want some continuity & people to stay behind what we're doing. Today we were decent first half & poor the 2nd. Jonas isnt turning up, Cabaye isnt influential enough & Ameobi had key moments but was poor outside of them. We dont look fluid atall, obviously i want that sorted like everyone does. And it's nothing to do with the manager? Players do what they're told, on the whole.

I think that's the first time I've seen a player get a second yellow for diving.

Dunno about you, but it's happened so often AGAINST us, it tastes all the sweeter when an undeserved winner goes in off the players back and he knows nowt about it. Actually TBH we've had a bit of luck so far this season. Never really got going, but we're doing OK.
