Not sure he can be completely written off yet when he's only been available for about 20% of games since he signed. My main concern has always been with his fitness. It's very weird that he's nowhere near the team now though.

Seems to me that he's not playing ball with the versatility thing. Perch is better than him at CM, and he doesn't want to play RB, so he's on the bench. That's how i'm seeing it, anyway. I'd have him at RB every week tbh. I find that very strange then, Pardew will/should have known that this would be an issue if that's the case. Quite often there are only 2 central midfield spots to be had and you've got Cabaye, Tiote, Perch and even Bigi and Jonas ahead of him in the pecking order. Surely he'd rather play than not play.

What's going on with this guy, why's he not getting a game? Given his versatility and the fact that not many of our lot are setting the world alight you'd think he'd play. Amazed that Simpson has just strolled back into the team like he's one of our most important players.
