You're right that we don't know something different would work, we do know that what we did do, didn't work. As for Ben Arfa's fitness, it was good enough to last 75 minutes against Man City and set up a really good chance for Ba and it was good enough for 80 minutes against Man U when he won the penalty that got us the point. On that basis I think it's reasonable to assume that he could have played at some point yesterday. Yep, and don't forget he hit the post against Man City. Very strange goings on, finding myself agreeing that there must be something happening behind the scenes, otherwise it makes no sense.

Main reason being that we'll offer 3 or 4 million lower than market value and wonder why the selling club don't just accept the bid.

I don't think expecting him to bring on arguably the most talented attack-minded player at the club when we're struggling to score a goal is expecting too much. Is he mentally deficient or something, is that what you're saying? Tbf Ben Arfa put a chance on a plate for Ba and hit the post himself against Man City and won a dodgy pen against Man Utd. Did nowt against Chelsea but he's done enough in those 3 games to suggest he would have a meaningful involvement in the following games yet he doesn't get on for a minute of the next 2. Mental, wonder if he'll get used at all on Wednesday?

It's absolutely bizarre that HBA starts against the 3 best teams in the country then doesn't get a minute against 2 promoted sides. Wasn't happy about it last week and the same goes for today.

Obertan's been hit and miss but I personally think Swansea would be delighted to see him go off, has caused them all sorts of problems.

Since his super show v Stoke tbh. Completely anonymous last week at least he got on the ball the final 5 mins there and looked better. Agree, definitely not on the best run of form for the last month or so.
