West Ham agree fee in region of £15m with Liverpool for Andy Carroll

Wasn't Llambias quoted bragging that they only accepted after taking the whole fee in one whack, with interest the longer Liverpool delayed it? Wouldn't believe a word that c*** says tbh. Just seem to remember reading it was £30m and then another £5m for goals and appearances and the like, only reason I ask is that I was thinking that £5m may well not be forthcoming if that's the case. http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Liverpool-Andy-Carroll-cost-a-highly-unusual-30million-up-front-plus-25-of-any-sell-on-fee-as-Newcastle-played-hardball-on-transfer-deadline-day-article700813.html Hmm. Wait? You even have a 25% sell-on fee? Utterly mental It's pretty funny if you like laughing at Liverpool like - they have to sell him for nearly £47m just to make their money back. -

How much of the fee was up front btw? Think I remember hearing at the time it was £30m up front and £5m add ons? -
Not think they might try to throw loads of money at Spurs and Defoe for a loan move until the Euros?
-
I can't remember him getting lots of assists although he may have done. I just remember him not being very effective on the wing. I remember similar to Cajun tbh so looked it up, Guthrie was top of our assist charts with 13 according to this: http://www.nufc.co.uk/page/Assists/0,,10278~200910278,00.html Although who knows how many of them came from out wide before we bought Routledge.
-
He wasn't that bad against Notts Forest like, wouldn't be that concerned about him if Colo was fit but he probably isn't.
-
We don't need spectacular, Titus Bramble's spectacular.

GeorgeCaulkin George Caulkin Waiting for O'Neill to come back & speak to papers. He was asked to smile for photos - "this is the best I can muster." Impressive start. http://img585.imageshack.us/img585/7329/28867855.png Y U No smile like jolly fat blubberman Bruce? http://images.icnetwork.co.uk/upl/nechronical/jun2009/3/7/steve-bruce-629992307.jpg

£8m. Bet the mackems end up paying it.
-
Oh I'm more than happy to keep him too, just making the point that we decided to risk it with 3 capable centre halves last transfer window and we shouldn't be doing so again. Taylor's completely out of the picture for the time being and we need another 2 that can go in there.
-
It really shouldn't be, Taylor's out until next season. We can flog Williamson in the summer or sign one of them on loan or on a short term deal.
-
Kadar's just been so out of the picture though, at least the other lot have been in matchday squads all season and what not. Has Kadar even been back fit for long?
-
I wouldn't be half as concerned if I had any faith Tiote was back for this. Fucking typical that everyone was dreading the 3 games against Man City, Man Utd and Chelsea and we came through them with confidence intact but defence in tatters. Just hope we're looking at defenders right now and aren't going to fuck about with fees and the like, wasting more games in January.
-
Fuck's sake, this is really happening.
-
Spot on, he's obviously learnt his lesson.
-
A lot of Obertan-less lineups, I'd be very surprised to see him not playing as he seems to always play when fit. Me, I'd also drop him.
-
Aye, I'm pretty sure bimpy was the one it was happening to me with previously n'all. Weird.
-
I saw him on his way out of the Metro Centre and by that point he was crawling on the floor, pleading with his wife to go get the car and roll him into it...
-
Ace.

Our defence has been so settled this year that I often look at these formations without checking out the back 5 and just look at what people fancy for midfield and up front. Bloody hell, these back 5s: http://img88.imageshack.us/img88/4705/philjones.jpg

Pardew was of the opinion that the linesman had a better view yet didn't even flag (not sure if that's correct) when he should have been alerting the ref to the severity of the incident.
