I fucking love him. The other night I involuntarily spurted out something like "Oh, he's just great, isn't he?" when he was on the ball after about 20 minutes. I immediately felt bad and that the random big bloke to my right was going to call me a nancy but he just went off on a massive tangent about how much he was in love with him as well.
  3. Wow. You're a fantastic advertisement for diverting to Toontastic. This forum attracts some weird people and you'll fit right in. By weird people I mean people that come out with shit that you never hear at games or in conversations with your mate or your dad or your granny or even the neutral fan at work. There are some positives at the moment but stuff like the undersoil heating shit above. Just wow. A few losses and you'll be back in your caves.
  4. i know sunderland have changed words, as have man utd, i'd guess every company that has an advertising account does.......or if they don't change them with permission they alter the context. Not being funny but a link would be nice, cheers. none to hand. check eyes passim (past editions of private eye is where i remember them from). do youthink it's only us that do that sort of stuff for PR ? Well no, the fact they're drawing attention to the day is not what's a bit odd here. As I say, I have no problem with the concept as such. I was just asking whether other clubs have taken blog posts directly and edited them in such a way.

  6. In all seriousness it'll be interesting to see/hear the reaction/lack of reaction. I think a lot of people are tired of bickering now and we're winning games.
  7. I'm sure we'll manage. It was pay day today and I blew my whole month's wages in JD Sports in protest.
  8. Sorry, which other clubs have put a blog on their website taking the bits out they don't like? I don't have a particular problem with the whole thing but the "other clubs do it and we only kick up a fuss about it cos it's them cunts" idea appears to be without basis.

That's not how I read it tbh. He better be in the squad, he showed enough on Tuesday and more.

  11. Not having a go at anyone in particular but we did somehow manage to avoid playing total Wimbledon shit the last time we had a 12 foot Gateshead-born freak leading the line. Yes, we mixed it up a bit but not actually any more than we have on the whole so far this season. The movement thing's a funny one, I think people are swallowing stuff that Liverpool fans are coming out with despite having seen Carroll at his best in our shirt for 12 months. His movement's not bad at all and he was developing at a fast rate. Plus he's just so much better than what we've got. People are forgetting how good he was looking when he left imo.
  12. It's not just the wages though. Even if he has a disastrous season they'll not want to sell him for less than half of what they paid. We won't pay that, even. There are too many obstacles. I still like him so hope he isn't stuck there for the sake of it. It's a twat watching good players die a death, whatever you think of them.
  13. Didn't see the match myself, but you're the only one I've seen not raving (to some extent) about him. It was a long game, and the first senior game for the lad. He was bound to fade, but from what I've read and heard elsewhere, you're being a bit "harsh" all in all. Ah well, as I say I'm very surprised at the other views then. I was at the match with 2 others (one a Newcastle fan and one a neutral) and the best any of us came up with about him was that he looked fairly tidy and kept out of trouble. Not having a go at him at all like, just surprised at the gushing praise. I don't think I'm being that harsh - it was exactly the sort of performance I expected from a youngster coming into our side tbh, no more and no less. A bit like a few of Vuckic's early Cup performances where he didn't do a lot wrong but was hardly involved despite the fact he was in the middle of the park.
