Oh yeah, that'll be it. -

What had Kevin Keegan done when he was appointed Newcastle manager the first time around? Sometimes it's worth the risk. Appoint someone like Billy Davies and there's every chance they'll continue to tread water as they have done for years on end. They need someone with a point to prove that will change the club from top to bottom. They'll also need investment. -

Well that's frankly even more ludicrous than Wullie's comment. Spiteful enough? -

There's a tinge of spite towards him within a lot of comments on here. I'm not sure I can be arsed to dig them up. It's rarely "I suspect he won't make it as a manager based on _______ but good luck to him", and generally more "clueless" this and "got us relegated" that. -

Hope he does well. I'd given up all hope of him doing this tbh. Far better than him taking over us when we're at another low ebb, let's see what he can offer at another club and good luck to him. Cardiff are a state atm but they're still a fairly big draw in that league and I think this will only improve matters on that score. Some of the disrespectful comments towards him on here make me cringe. It's one of them things that makes you realise that this forum is far from representative of our fanbase, i.e. there's a far bigger proportion of bi-polar, attention-seeking knobheads on this forum than among our support. I'll be fucked if I judge him after 8 games. But even if you do. Say he's a shite manager. Doesn't justify some of the spite towards him on here. Get a grip. -
Assuming Enrique wants to see that the club is going forwards, is it not fair enough for him to hang on for a month or 2 to see who we get in?
-
Just got back in so I didn't see the match but I saw Pearce's interview and he said "if we had as much possession as they did tonight then we'd have won about 4 or 5 nil. So fair play to us for staying in the game". I know what he's saying but they were never going to dominate possession tonight, were they?

Aston Villa appoint Alex McLeish as new manager

Have Villa targeted Hughes then? If not, why not? -
http://www.skybet.com/betting/football/transfer-specials/t10003041.html A few interesting ones there, for example we're 6/4 favourites to sign Berbatov and Liverpool are favourites (evens) to sign N'Zogbia while we're 2/1. We're also favourites to sign Ba and that man Carlton Cole. If you have a read through then much of it seems to be based on the well-known transfer tittle tattle though tbh, plus a leaning towards teams that are known to have a few quid in their pocket and / or have gaping holes in certain positions. Bit like the tabloid press really.

No, I meant are you really making that joke actually.

"Labelled" ffs, like he did it with a post-it note or something. Tabloid-speak is great (shite). http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/9320/insomnia.png Uploaded with ImageShack.us

"Labelled him" like it's some kind of comment that Kinnear made on him as a player or person. "Decent player on the pitch but I've never seen the kid sleep once. That's because he doesn't do it. He just does not sleep. That's fucking creepy. I thought I'd play some of those managerial mind games that I'm renowned for, to snap him out of it. I called him Charles Insomnia. Next day, he requested a transfer. What can you do?"

Always liked the Star, heartbeat of Great Britain tbh.

If it's £10 million or nothing I'd take him for nothing tbh, Valencia seem to be missing a trick here. Twitter is getting absolutely huge now, not just with this football transfer wank but with everything. There was a stage where I thought it was showing signs of levelling off but everyone's jumped on it in the last 6 months in particular.

Yeah, they can fuck off.

The Mail reckons Man Utd made a late bid to get Henderson.

Ah fuck it, he's signing for Brazil circa 1970, isn't he?
