Owen linked. Make it happen. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/8044184/Black-Cats-consider-Owen
  2. He's clearly pining for a move here. Already threw up the flag last season. http://i.ytimg.com/vi/SfvBjuL8_nY/0.jpg

    Ryan Taylor

He's an experienced squad player we need across the backline considering the high amount of fixtures we have to play this season.

He's making a habit of saying that.
  5. I have to say I agree with this. Perch can play across quite a few positions while Simpson can only play as RB. Simpson being in the first eleven is a man-management strategy. Can't say I agree with it though.
  6. I certainly wouldn't oppose a move playing Perch at RB. He's shown that he knows how to defend as a centre back which is at least better than the performances I've seen Simpson give in the B&W. While Simpson can't put a foot in to tackle a player (i.e. lets them forward as he backpedals), Perch has certainly been comfortable confronting the man on the ball while playing in the centre.
  7. I don't agree with this. Granted, he said some things that didn't reflect well on the club or the board but this was during a time we had consolidated well during our first season back in the top flight and some big personalities left. How on earth could he have seen where the club was heading at that point? Nobody could ever have imagined the season we had last year. Nobody. I'd take Enrique back in a second. That's the whole point. You can slag Jose Enrique for what he said on Twitter (he is thick, mind) but I'm sure the rest of us were thinking the same thing - i.e. lack of ambition and the like with our sales during that window.
  8. I won't begrudge Duff for that goal.
  9. Very pleased to see Swansea doing well so far.
  10. I second that. I believe an 'OH GOD WHY' is in order.
  11. I would be proper jealous if that transfer goes through. Not so much for footballing reasons but more along the lines of oldtype fanboyism.
  12. I have to admit that I'm quite pleased to see Bertrand starting. It's time Chelsea actually started to use their academy graduates as opposed to their numerous big money signings.
