Mad to think how much he's paid for NR and how much he'd have to pay for NUFC. Doubt he'd be interested in buying the club. NR will make ridiculous profits and NUFC not so. How much would the club cost? £200M? I have no idea but it wouldn't be a sound investment. I doubt he's interested in buying the club, however Virgin spent a hell of a lot of money in F1 so from Virgin's point of view the money is there (at least in advertisement terms) for the right deal.

In assets, like most businessmen (Ashley included) he doesn't actually have the ability to go out and spend that much. No of course that's his net worth... and it seems he is a Liverpool fan. I don't think he's really a football fan to be honest. He's never came across as a guy who's passionate about much but business, even in his younger days. He likes to go around the world and do wacky stuff but I don't think he actually has one passion outside of business, just goes with the flow really.

Well Virgin agreed to buy Northern Rock in November and agreed it would go trough on January 1st, so really Virgin being on our shirts could have been happening tonight no matter what the outcome of these suspected rumours are.

For some reason I don't think it will be Virgin Media but Virgin Money, Virgin Money is the new baby and he will want new customers etc there and will be doing all he can to do that. I hear that either on the 8th or 9th of this month a large advertisement campaign for Virgin Money will begin.

Hard to say, I think over all we will get about 20 points which will be enough to finish in the top half and dare I say it, above Sunderland.

Kenny just done a commentary on their game on SSN there. He looks baffled that Liverpool can lose.

Tbf we fly to every game as well apart from Sunderland. Imagine if we did. "This is your captain speaking, welcome aboard our flight from Newcastle international airport to Woolsington international airport, our flight time will be around 23 seconds because we will simply just be turning around in the air. I hope you enjoy your flight." 23 seconds later..... "This is your captain again, welcome to Woolsington international airport, the local time here is the same as when you left, customs shouldn't be a problem, we hope you enjoyed your brief flight with us and we hope to see you again."

Probably by boarding a plane in Manchester, which then flies to Newcastle, lands there and then you get off the plane. It would have to be charterd and chartered for 3 players? infact a helicopter would even be easier than getting a plane. Thats not even the point though, I could understand if it was London but flying from Manchester to newcastle is just stupid.

Meh, we have played some tough games, fair enough we should have got more points out of Norwich, Swansea, and WBAbut we did get blighted with injuries as well. They have actually missed a great opportunity to go above us and missed it.
-
How the fuck can you even fly from Manchester to Newcastle?
-
Meh, just shows how poor Wigan are really. Sunderland have to get their points from somewhere.
-
Expect him to play shit but still score.

Blackburn Rovers bottom at Christmas, reaction: Draw away at Liverpool, Win away at Man Utd, then lose at home to Stoke.
-
I wish Matilda would put him on a downer.
-
This means Wigan will beat Sunderland and we will beat Man Utd.
-
Leeds win 2-1.
-
Anyone know the North Shields score?
-
Typical new club do well for the first half of the season but pretty much struggle for the 2nd half the season syndrome.
-
It's a piss take, they do it for every throw in no matter what the scoreline is.
-
When did Huddersfield get pegged back?
-
Leeds are level.
-
Come on Blackburn.
-
Doncaster have pretty much won, about bloody time.
