If all you have to worry or think about in life is that your NUFC shirt doesn't have the new sponsor on it because of something that was out of the clubs control but the club have gone out there way in oder that it can rectified then quite frankly you most have an easy fucking life.

Effectively they have just kept the Northern Rock deal and have taken up the 2 additional years that Northern Rock said no to. Really it's just the same deal as we had. It's nice to see Virgin Money trying to gain the local support and hopefully from their point of view customers.

Hopefully it's more in-line with Premiership deals as well. Our last deal with Northern Rock was supposed to be one of the lowest shirt sponsorship deals in the Premiership.

Wouldn't be a problem, mere pocket change to them. Organisations like this think nothing of spending millions on a top trade show booth for a few days or even a one off sponsorship opportunity. Rebranding SJP would be a piece of piss. If different competitions in football can have different sponsorship then so can the Olympics. All the would have to do is put a cover over the current signs and take down the sponsorship boards.

Well Virgin agreed to buy Northern Rock in November and agreed it would go trough on January 1st, so really Virgin being on our shirts could have been happening tonight no matter what the outcome of these suspected rumours are. Well they would get a worldwide audience with us playing Man Utd which might be attractive as they are launching the new company at present. Exactly what I'm saying, the thing is though because Northern Rock is now Virgin Money we could have been having Virgin on our shirts in anyway tonight. If we do then it still can't be taken as confirmation in the rumours over our stadium name or even for next seasons sponsorship rights.

I'm dreading tonight. If we get raped as I suspect we will then we cannot possibly wear Virgin on our shirts after that.
