  1. I'd rather have a few 0-0 games then alot more 5-4 games in which goals are scored by long balls, and goal munching.
  2. Isn't it only "blasphemy" if you believe in god?
  3. It is broke but only since they introduced that wanky 'interfering with play' rule. No f***er knows what's going on, not even the referees. They should just revert back to the old system - if you're offside, you're offside. Whistle blows, freekick, everybody's happy. Old rule ain't that great, I remember refs ruling out long range goals because some random guy was offside inside the box. As they should, the random bloke is offside. If a random bloke decks one of your defenders off the ball before a shot goes in should the goal be allowed? There's an art to defending which includes knowing when someone is offside and stepping out. That has been ruined by selective application of the law which says you can only step out on the man that receives the ball eventually....how the fuck are you supposed to know that in advance of the ball being played? I'm sure at that point he would be interfearing with play by those actions, and play would be stopped for an off the ball foul. This rule in my opinion is the best way to rule offside, it justs needs referee's and linesmen to rule it correctly.
  4. Exactly, football will turn into a game when you play with a set of mates and one fucker stands in front of the keeper the whole game to pick up scraps. Fuck that idea, the offside rule is a pretty good rule, and better then the old rule in my opinion. Just referee the rule the correct way instead.
  5. Too many FA Cup final and Semi final defeats, I'm glad the brought it down, but the new isn't all that good either, just another Emirates with a arc over it.
  6. So they have basically just swapped managers.
  7. One hindrance is that the clock isn't stopped in Football, which could make it difficult to make sure the correct time is spent there and so on. I'm all for it if they find a way to execute it in a good way without making too many changes to the existing game. (i.e. starting to stop the clock to use this rule etc.) Well there is nothing stopping a 'sin-bin clock' being started/stopped when the ball went out of play. Doesn't seem much point when the ref so rarely stops his. Just make it 5 minutes. That's probably pretty close to 2 minutes in hockey. Since the game of Football is a 3rd longer then Ice Hockey then that would mean 3 minutes would be about the same porpotion of time for a sin bin.
  8. Dang I always though Blatter was German. That's a shame. We do have a say. Any formal change to the laws of the game has to be agreed to by the IFAB (International Football Association Board). FIFA has 4 votes on the committee, the other 4 are split amongst the home nations - the FA, the Irish FA, the Welsh FA and the Scottish FA. Seeing as you need 6 to carry a motion... it would be easy to block. Shouldn't FIFA have only 1 vote?
  9. It would be the worst move in football ever, and to me it all seems to be aimed at attracting the North American countries to the game with more goals involved in the game. I wish FIFA would stop coming up with these daft new changes to try and get these countries to like the game, fuck them, it's their loss. If the do make that rule change then they may well get more people in North America and such watching, but they will lose every other country. The Sin Bin is a good idea in theory, but it will be used as an adantage to the big clubs in my honest opinion. Over all I think the game is spot on (outside of the finacial world), maybe add goal line technolgoy, but thats it, if anyone else doesn't like the game then they can pretty much fuck off. All we really need as it's already been said is referee's who can be in charge of the game and more fairly and for commentators to understand the game more.
  10. To be fair, I think we would have to ask the fans of the other teams this question. I mean if you ask a Derby fan then they will probs say yes, since they took 4 points of us this season, but it depends on the tams who lost points to us, if they say yes despite losing points then thats a fair answer. Also remember that if we go up then the other teams will get a part of our relegation money.
  11. An increase in Championship games shown on TV, along side more money to all other clubs in this league. More interest from the press and those on football shows like Soccer Saturday about the Championship. Atleast one "big" for all or most clubs in the Championship. Increase on home crowds when we play away. The answer, yes, but also, has tha Champinship been good for us? We won't know untill the end of next season (if we go up).
  12. it might amongst tax payers - but there are few of those in Portsmouth I guess Rather a few, since between them and Glasgow they got all of our ship building.
  13. Well I hope their either wound up today or they get the 9 points deducted, it's gone on for far to long now. Bit harsh? Well I actually don't want them to go out of business, I just think everything is getting dragged out now, the 9 point deduction should of been made as soon as they entered administration aswell.
  14. Well I hope their either wound up today or they get the 9 points deducted, it's gone on for far to long now.
  15. one team Michael, us, and only because you didn't do your fucking job in scoring goals.
  16. N'Zogbia would be a liability at LB much like Glen Johnson will be at RB. Hence the apparently bit in my sentance.
  17. I wonder what thechances of calling N'Zogbia are now since he can apparently play at LB. Cole: Pace, Overlaps, Arrogant, English N'Zogbia: Pace, Overlaps, Arrogant, English enough
  18. That leaves Crystal Palace even more in the shit.

    PROMOTIONOMETER

Not a chance, we will be promoted in April I think, but not by April, would be great if we get promoted before Easter, but I can't seethat either.
  20. The 9 point deduction takes place today if I'm not mistaken. That means they will be on 10 points by the end of today.
  21. I wonder if we will move up to about the top 10 if we go back up.
  22. Just buy a ticket in advance, they should be avaliable in April sometime.
  23. had a look at the others down there, all have similar run ins. Bolton's looks canny for them, but Wigan's and Wolve's are worrying, I wouldn't be all that confident about Wigan either, and Burnley are as good as down aswell. Lets hope though, if they lose every single game the they will go down. To be honest though, I can see 33 points being enough to stay up, and thats just two wins for Sunderland. If we had of stayed up, we would of pissed all over these guys.
  24. Just had a look at their fixtures, trust them to have a decent amount of games to take points from.
