  1. Of course that’s not a penalty, fucking hell.
  2. They are selling off their leisure facilities though, even closed down their swimming pool.
  3. Gateshead council: ‘Let’s build a brand new arena using public money just so we can take it out of Newcastle, even if it is by a matter of yards’. Also Gateshead council: ‘Let’s sell the international stadium and pretty much make our football club homeless, and without the ability to enter the football league’.
  4. You’ll see the big clubs try to unsettle them this summer and beyond. There will be links for their manager, Watkins etc. many of which nothing will come to it, but it will all be designed to pull the team cohesion apart.
  5. West Ham have well and truly shit the bed recently.
  6. Aye you can. If I was a Newcastle in refereeing two clubs competition against Newcastle, you can bet your last £ I’d try my best to manipulate the game to the best advantage to Newcastle.
  7. No it’s not. I’m sorry but the rules state that both the manager and the players have to go up and explain themselves after games. Fans can be called into question about their support, owners about the running of clubs. The only people you can’t question or ask to explain themselves is referees. The people who are never happy to be questioned or held to account are those who have stuff to hide.
  8. I never saw the Forest game, so don’t know what’s happened, but nothing will change in regards to the referees until clubs start calling them out on it.
  9. You would imagine the Sunderland game would be at SJP, and Sunderland may do the same at the SOS, although I doubt we would be given many away tickets.
  10. If Forest win, it does put Everton right in it. They do have a game in hand, but it would put them within a win of Luton overtaking them. I doubt it would be a high quality game though, and an Everton win would surely mean they are nearly safe.
  11. Just looked, they would enter the Europa League in anyway.
  12. Surely even if we did, we could be seeded?
  13. We need them to lose to give us a chance of getting into Europe.

That’s absolutely fair that it may not interest you, some people wouldn’t be interested in it. What I would say though is that you could survey the Spurs fans for example, and ask them if they would prefer to have their new stadium, or their old one. To a man I think even the ones who were not convinced beforehand would say they would prefer their new one, West Ham though, different story.

Sunderland’s stadium is about the same distance from their main retail core than SJP is away from Northumberland Street. Like SJP, it is probably at the northern tip of the city centre, and likely the last significant building before crossing out the city centre. A section of their university is further to the rest of it and can also just about call itself city centre. SJP still has burger vans, depending on the game you can have 4/5 below the Gallowgate, and one behind the East stand. That pop up bar at the SOL, assuming you mean the one outside the pub, is always there. Where ever the stadium is, whatever the offering in the ground, and no matter if you have a city full of places to eat/drink, you will always have these vendors popping up, it’s unavoidable. We can debate what we might lose or might gain until the cows come home, or not if we build on Castle Leazes. Whatever we do, be it an extension, rebuild, or a new build we absolutely have to plan it carefully, and do it right. So long as we do that, then we shouldn’t lose any soul from our stadium, even if it is a Castle Leazes new build.
  16. Never have been. I’m still angry that we made him look like he’s a footballer when we last played them.
  17. Even when Joelinton was crap, you could see by the way he played that he would be better in midfield. Jackson just looks like someone Blyth Spartans fans would get pissed off by continuing to miss chances.
  18. He’s fucking gash, don’t know what anyone see’s in him, the Chelsea Shola, by the law of averages, his shots might equal a goal, but he’s fucking shit.

Aye but the Redcar Reds play in North Yorkshire, so Sunderland still don’t get overtaken by them for NETD.
  20. Never wanting a team to come up again, they always take points off us. Go and get to fuck Ipswich, don’t even think about it.
  21. Tell you one thing, Doncaster Rovers could do this, would be the greatest comeback in a season ever.
  22. I honestly think the National League North is the top natural level for North East clubs outside of the 3 main ones. Hartlepool have done very well to stay as high as they have for so long, probably the closest we’ll get to the exception to the rule. The 3 main clubs are well supported, and I honestly think the support for the lower/non-league league clubs is very much secondary to those clubs. I can’t be that being sustainable, especially if we do end up competing at the very top level.

Losing the White Lives Matter derby.
  24. Going down may do them the world of good, they have circled the drain longer than Everton. They might get a chance to rebuild.
