  1. To be fair, since last summer, a lot of our targets were not really covered in the press. The Isak one came out of nowhere, we were only slightly linked with him early in the summer, but that was probably more of a case of us being listed as a club who could afford him.
  2. The Premier League have opted not to have automated offsides like in the World Cup.
  3. A million a year in the National League. Fucking hell, I’m sure a couple of years ago Norwich were only getting that in the Premier League. I’m sure there will be some Championship clubs not getting that now.

Ain’t getting no marble clad stadium. Marble can’t cope with the climate, water gets in and it cracks. That picture frame structure in Paris was originally clad with Marble, but after a few years it stated cracking and chunks were falling off it.
  5. The thing is though, for the top 4/nations in the Conference League, each one of those teams would have qualified for the Europa League a couple of years ago. Ok both Fiorentina and West Ham have had bad seasons, but that could have happened in the Europa League, in fact it did with Seville this year. For what it’s worth, unless they get a ban, then Juventus will be in the Conference League next season, hardly a minnow.
  6. Well done to West Ham. This would be a great way for Moyes to go out, he’s never going to beat this.
  7. I mean about them helping England claim an extra place through performance.
  8. Actually if West Ham win and did well in the Europa League next season, it would be good as it opens up another Champions League place.
  9. I want West Ham to win, but it’s not a penalty.
  10. The lack of a high press from West Ham is annoying.
  11. Fuck me man BT, we know you are changing your name, no need to keep having the pop-up advert as frequently like US TV advertising other programmes during a programme.

Why? It looks dated as fuck now, if we are to refurbish SJP, then it needs to be reclassified to something better.
  13. Apple are apparently offering him 50% of any new MLS subscriptions after he signs.

Absolutely no chance we build a new stadium and only go for a 65k capacity.
  15. Let’s hope the logo isn’t as fucking massive as it currently is. Just the lettering, without the big fuck off yellow box would do.
  16. For what it’s worth. The other day I half watched a documentary about women driving in Saudi Arabia. I was surprised to see that contrary to popular belief, not all women are dressed in a full veil, and don’t need a man to accompany them everywhere. Some of the even having jobs. In fact you could say that they seemed more repressed inside their own homes than they are outside in public. I don’t know if there is regional difference of tolerance/acceptances there or not though. Long before our takeover, when I was at uni there was a girl there who was born a raised in Saudi Arabia, with British parents and has dual citizenship. Without getting in the conversation at the time, she did say it’s nowhere near what people think it’s like. Of course I don’t know if that was taking into account any privileges she might have experienced as a family member of a foreign worker, over the average citizen or not. In hindsight that was a missed opportunity for an interesting conversation.
  17. As others have said, it’s not just about the view of them from others, but keeping their own citizens happy. In Saudi Arabia their citizens are mostly younger people now. They want more freedoms and with that, they want to experience events etc. They have had money for a while, but aside from buying a Gucci handbag, they have had little to actually do. Golf is very popular in the Middle East and having these events is a major plus for them. The same with football and bringing the stars over. In Qatar they have a small population, one that is probably not sustainable. Hosting the World Cup meant that they had to build infrastructure, which meant that they needed to bring in immigrants, who they hoped would stay after the work in completed. That is alongside the same issues as other countries have in keeping their own population happy.
  18. The PGA thing is massive. It’s a foot in the door to American sports now. I wonder if they will go all the way through and try to buy NFL, NBA, NHL, and MLB teams? All the leagues have been able to gain American owners, and they have been able to keep away outsiders, as well as their owners going to others Leagues to buy teams. PIF buying such a team would have been a hard sell to get past before this announcement, but I wonder now if these leagues will see them as potential purchasers of the more struggling teams, the teams who need investment, or even expansion teams.
  19. You think the people who won’t allow Celtic & Rangers in because they are not English are going to happy with Bayern Munich, Ajax, and Benfica?
  20. If anyone has a cock that looks like that, then please go to a Dr.

If they are doing that this summer, I can’t see an expansion happening in the next few years.

A couple of years ago, Ashley would have put a couple of dodgy chairs and tables on the Gallowgate roof, complete with the mildew, and charged you a premium for Squab, and whatever water you can sip out of the guttering.
  23. They are only stunned because they had the ignorant belief that they were rich enough not to be threatened.
  24. Clarified earlier. My sister said she knows Daisy’s mam. I remember her telling me that she was 1 of the first in the squad to be given a professional contract by the club. You all must be immensely proud, and Daisy seems to be what football is all about. Young girls and boys playing for their home team, something Ashley had no interest in doing for the women’s team.
