This game I just want out of the way, and I wished we played it in midweek. It’s the game left that we have that we are most likely to lose in, I’m not saying that we will or think that we will, but I just want to be past not knowing what result is and move onto our other games. Arsenal are not the side that we played earlier in the season, nor are they the side they were a month ago to be honest. They got a win in midweek but that was against a Chelsea team in free fall, and I don’t think it counts for much. Any of the possible results are realistic for this game, I’m not confident and I guess I also dread that we will lose it, because then that may allow nerves to get in, at least amongst the fan base. Right now I can’t call it, and to be honest that may actually form a basis of an argument that this could be a draw, and I would snatch your hand off for that right now. With our remaining fixtures, I know we’ll probably get at least 6 points, and I think we are good for 9, and could achieve all 12. I just want this Arsenal game over, and hopefully have at least a point in the bag, because if we get that, it’s difficult to see us slipping up.

On the radio before they were giving the odds out for the top 4, and they mentioned the battle for it and just said it was between Man Utd and Liverpool, obviously assuming we have our place. It was one of their betting partner experts who was saying it as well.

That’s a penalty.

A couple of years ago they got into financial difficulty and agreed a financial plan with the EFL on the condition that they got a suspended points deduction. Earlier this year they failed to comply with the financial plan.
-
Oh but if I say that….

We’ll need 7 to finish above them and Liverpool, and I think we’ll get that.
-
If Brighton fail to win tonight, then they fall in the same points bracket as Liverpool, 7 points and they can’t catch us.

We just have to keep on doing what we are doing. We have 3 very winnable games, and we have 2 games that on paper look more difficult. Arsenal though are not the same Arsenal side from the beginning of the season, and Chelsea are in free fall. Even a point out of the Arsenal match would be massive for us.

Close by Fulham.
-
If they score now they know VAR will someone disallow it.

Famous Anfield on a midweek night sounds like a leisure centre with some introduction to gymnastics classes.
-
Absolutely no chance Fulham get back into this, it’s like a training exercise for Liverpool now.

Fucking disgrace that penalty.

Yeah, apparently we were close to a 2nd daily route until lockdown. However it is the cargo that demands that. I can’t see how SA is going to muscle in on it. Dubai is a massive cargo hub for the Middle East, not sure if anywhere in Saudi is. If you are including passengers, then there isn’t a demand from the North East to go to Saudi, and outside of a few rich blokes in Saudi, I doubt there is a huge demand the other way. With Dubai, even Abu Dhabi, and a lesser extent Qatar, you at least have the tourism aspect there, as well as onwards connections to the far east.

People will lose their shit if we win, and Liverpool win. Case point, Sunday, and the Wednesday/Thursday before that.

1/2 to be sectioned.

There has been a few times in the past where managers have been banned from the stadium because they were doing just that. Klopp will either get a suspended ban, or a fine, if they even go that far. Even if they do give him a ban, I’m fully expecting it to not apply until next season.

I still think it will be Qatar Airways. The Emaar links seem to come from one of Wraiths pals.

One of the promoted clubs?

I was reading something about how it is possible when high fiveing someone or clapping that all the atoms in your hand could go between the atoms of the other. The odds are so slim that it’s not happened before, and unlikely to ever happen, but it is still possible. Anyway because the odds of it happening are so slim, once it happened you wouldn’t be able to pull your hand back out, and they would just be smashed together forever. That picture looks like it’s happened.

Never touched him, he’s fucking bottled it.

Aye, both teams been absolutely shit so far, no control of the ball or the game. It’s what Americans think the game is, two teams who kick the ball about and by pure luck 1 team will win.

He won’t. He should have been sent off for his antics today. As someone else has said, there is little difference between what he did, and what Mitro has got a band for. The referees are not going to get the respect that they desire until they respect themselves.
