I was listening to something the other day where they were saying for VAR accuracy they only measure the stats from key games. Those are televised games between top 6 sides. I think Ray Parlour was slamming that, and everyone else was defending it. It’s fucking laughable.

Is it really that unpopular? Of course people will be fed up of them, it always happens with the ‘underdog story’. People got fed up of the likes of Wigan when they came up and then stayed there stinking the place out. People are fed up with the likes of Salford who are owned by former Man Utd players and seemingly getting people wishing them well. People got fed up of FC Manchester that was created by Man Utd fans in protest. On bigger scales people got fed up of Chelsea, got fed up of Man City, even got fed up of Arsenal, and before that unless your a fan of these clubs, everyone fucking hates Man Utd and Liverpool. The question about Wrexham is will their ownership change things in our football system? We all know that the National League should be part of the league system. We all know that money needs to be distributed down. We all know that there are decent sized clubs languishing in the lower leagues and non-league. Will the attention they have gained result in change? Will the FA and football authorities expand/change or league system? Will investors come in for the other clubs? Will fans start turning out for those teams. If the answer is no, then their ownership hasn’t been good for football outside of Wrexham.

I’m sure I was reading though that most clubs who get into the group stages of the Champions League get £30m straight away, but we won’t because our coefficient is lower for not being in Europe for 10 years or more. So there for we only get a small percentage of that fee.

The thing is though this season he has started to get the assists. It would be a shame if he leaves, but I can see us cashing in on him. As much as he can be brilliant on his day, he’s probably reached his ceiling in ability.

I still think Everton will survive. They will beat one of Leicester, Brighton, or Wolves, and beat Bournemouth on the final day. Forest and Leeds won’t pick up enough points.

You never know in football, it’s why the game has to be played. However no matter how Southampton set up, either for the low block, or to attack, they don’t seem to be able to keep goals out. It was only a week ago when they almost lost a game when they were 3-1 up in the 88th minute. I look at this Southampton side and I don’t see where they are even going to get a draw from. You look at their fixtures, and even in games they have with teams around them, you think that’s the game the other team is going to gain safety in, just like Bournemouth did last night.

ASM is out for the season.

Two of them are doing what we did for many seasons.

Agreed to let Coventry play in his stadium for 5 years. I mean what the fuck would he do with a stadium without a team to play there in anyway? Might as well have bought the Reynolds arena in Darlington.
-
Liverpool became the club they were because they bought all the best players in the 80’s. Even if we were doing that, which when you add the numbers up, we aren’t, they can hardly complain someone else is doing the same. Is our team on paper a top 4 side, no, but that’s the fucking point. That’s down to both great management, and riding the wave of good form. Like it or not everything we have done so far is something that the likes of Everton could have done, fuck it’s something us under Ashley could have done if he allowed us to spend our money and wanted to get a decent manager in over a fucking yes man who’s main job was to defend him in the media.

He’s literally Henry.

11 points assuming Brighton slip up/we take points off them.

Sure I read that Schar was injured, oh well.
-
Schar is injured, Burn into CB.

Didn’t they do it like 5 times towards the end of the season last year and only won 1 of those games? It’s obviously something they have seen Liverpool do ahead of their big games a few years back and they thought that they wanted a go at it.

This. Out of our games you would say there is possibly 3 games where a win is not guaranteed. Instead of a defeat in all of those though, I’d say a win, a draw, and loss in those 3 fixtures is what I would expect. We may also lose or draw one of the ones you think we’d be banker win, but overall we would have enough points.
-
Disappointing, but they have had it coming for years. When me & my stepdad first started going in the early 20’s, they had some decent backers, I think Malcolm McDonald backed them as well at the time. They had the money to go up and do ground improvements. Labour were in government and they could have easily gained funding for local community work for ground improvement, especially considering their location. They were buying all the players from other clubs as well. Instead the owner was too busy slating fans for going to see NUFC, and being happy marginally better than South Shields and on par with Whitley Bay. They never did the ground improvements, and rejected promotion when they had the chance etc. Now the likes of Hebburn and South Shields have passed them, and they have people going to see them since they are effectively locked out of SJP by giving up their season tickets under Ashley. All of a sudden they want the ground improvements etc.

We need to win 4 and draw 1 of our final 7 games to finish above Liverpool. I know Brighton can get more points than Liverpool, but if they mess up in just 1 games this season they can’t. They play us at SJP, and they play teams around them, and average 3 games, so they will end up dropping points. Our form this season so far indicates that we would get the 4 wins and at least 1 draw that would be required. On top of this, in our remaining fixtures we play 4 of the current bottom 5 in the league. A Chelsea team who in absolute free fall, an Arsenal team who are slipping up and could be 2nd in the title race by the time we play them, and a Brighton team who will likely be knackered by the time we play them. I think at the moment the problem is that we play after Liverpool, so when they get a good result we are looking at it as them putting pressure on us. As someone else has mentioned though, if we beat Everton tonight, and Southampton on Sunday, we could be 12 points clear of Liverpool before they next play, and all of a sudden their fans will be thinking like we are now. If we do win both of those games then we could be in a position where we only need 7 points out of 5 games to mathematically confirm our place.

Put your flag up, your flag down, up, down, up, down, give it to VAR, and turn around Woooahh offsidesies, woooaahh offsidesies!

I forgot to mention it. Results last night meant that Harrogate are safe in League Two, which relegates Hartlepool. In League One, both Plymouth and Ipswich now need a win each, out of 2 games, and they are promoted.
-
No, 7th does. However West Ham could gain a spot if they win the Europa Conference, that is an additional spot to the 7 England already has. I think someone did some working out, and once the new rules hit, it is possible to have up to 9 teams in Europe.

He didn’t even bother to do that, he just presented the shit and half arsed said it was chocolate ice cream.
