I like the idea they had a few years ago where they were to add a League 3, but make all the leagues 20 teams each which reduced the amount of midweek games, and reduced the chance of teams having nothing to play for at the end of the season. It would have meant that 8 teams would have been taken from the national league, and you could have reorganised it from there.
