With the Man Utd bid, there is only 2 bidders who want to buy the whole club. Everyone else is after smaller shares or offering finance. Bith bidders will saddle the club up with more debt. Radcliffe has the money in assets only, so can’t buy it outright. The Qatari is a banker who no one believes he has that money himself, even if he did, he is a banker and he’ll know not to spend his own money. It’s hardly far away from the media reports that say it’s not going well. The Glaziers were wanting every billionaire, every sovereign wealth fund, and everyone who could form a consortium to be bidding and that’s not what they have got.

I’ve long argued that those at the top do not get the support that they need. We have the richest league, our 2nd tier league is viewed by more people globally than most European top leagues. Our two domestic cup competitions are viewed globally. Our national team is viewed globally. We have 6 teams with a large global reach compared to 1-2 of most European leagues. Our players wages and managers wages are the highest on average across the league. Our average capacity/crowds across the league are amongst the highest. When it comes to our referee’s thought they get 1 days training a week, and have full time careers outside of the league. They are refereeing players in the conditions I have deceived above with the facilities to match, and theirs no sports psychologist for the referees to guide them to being in the best position to make the best decisions they can and to have the mentality to stand up for themselves. Instead we get a bunch of weak yea men who complete the narrative of everything going for the biggest players and biggest clubs.

As I said in the bit that you quoted. This has been of their own making, and outside of your quotation I go on to say that there lack of self respect in allowing themselves to be controlled by players and clubs as well as pandering to them has lead to this. At no point have I said it’s justified, in fact I went on to say that I was concerned about the situation it has put referee’s further down the pyramid and in grassroots in. You can condemn them act as well as acknowledging that it largely occurred due to their own making.

That’s both a backwards step and a sideway step. Palace only exist so Steve Parish can have a larger wallet.

I notice how you completely omitted when I said Mitro shouldn’t have done it a couple of times.

In regards to the Mitro incident, the referee’s have honestly had this coming for years and it’s of their own making. Ok what he did was wrong, but let’s not make out as if he shoved him to the floor. The fact that referee’s refuse to yellow card players who dive, do similar to what Mitro did, and talk back is what has lead to this. You saw it where Bruno for Man Utd got away with it. On top of this for a little while now Man Utd in particular have been getting referee’s from greater Manchester refereeing their games. In a lot of those games there has been questionable decisions given in favour of them. Fulham knew this ahead of the match and any decision against them was always going to spark something, even if the decision was correct. You have grassroots referee’s saying players abuse referee’s because they see it on TV in the Premier League. The problem is not just with those at the top level, it is making it a problem for the officials at all levels, all because the referee’s at the top level don’t have enough respect to both be brave enough to stand up for themselves, and to be consistent with it, especially to players of bigger clubs and bigger names. Yes give Mitro a ban, but let’s not sit around and neglect the fact that it’s a problem of their own making.

I think with Boro the problem lies in the fact that a large proportion of people from there used to follow us and Sunderland. Their fans were largely a few diehards who were just happy supporting their club. In the last 20 years or so, Teesside has been trying to gain its own identity away from the rest of the North East and even Yorkshire. I’m not just talking about football, but it transfers over to football. Now you have Boro fans in Stockton, Darlington etc following them who are trying to gain their identity and trying to force a rivalry with us and Sunderland. I can sort of understand a rivalry with Sunderland for fans who live in places like Peterlee, and Easington. A rivalry with us is being forced because of our stature as the biggest city in the North East (which Teesside’s desperately try to tell you they are not a part of) and the fact that there was decent Al numbers of our fans in places like Darlington and Newton Aycliffe etc.

Apple are apparently going to bid for the EFL rights. Every Championship, League One, League Two, and potentially the EFL Cup and EFL Trophy is available, including the Saturday 3pm KO’s. They may even allow some games to be broadcast for free. They have a similar deal with the MLS.

Fuck sake, went and gave Wenger a new idea there.
-
He’s not surviving that. I thought he would go at the end of the season, but I think that’s it now. He wants out, Spurs want him out, that’s him saying ‘Here is your opportunity to push me’.
-
Fuck sake, I want Everton down.

Says the guys with one of our rounded badges as his avatar.

Because when the ball was played he wasn’t active and the defender playing the ball enters a new phase of play.
