    St James' Park

Leazes Park is owned by the Freeman of Newcastle, and they make a big deal out of it being so. I also believe they own the SJP land, however the council are in charge of day to day running of both.

Whilst Man Utd are building their new stadium, Arsenal going to expand theirs, Chelsea looking to move, and Anfield still needing 2 new stands, there isn’t a chance that they will propose such rule changes. You also have Aston Villa wanting to do something with theirs, and have just announced a fan zone last week, Crystal Palace starting work on their new stand in the summer, Leicester wanting to build a new main stand, Nottingham Forest building at least 2 new stands, even Leeds want to expand their stadium, and Birmingham City are wanting to build an Etihad like campus. The latter two I know are not in the Premier League yet, but could be in future seasons. So all in all, even if they did try to vote through the rules, they wouldn’t get the required support for it. Once our new stadium is announced though, we’ll just get the likes of Arsenal fans calling us an oil club.

65k isn’t enough, and considering they said a new stadium would have a lot more seats than an extended SJP which everyone estimates to hold 60k, it is quite apparent that it would be more than 65k. Personally I think 80k is the sweet spot. We have to consider that since the pandemic, event attendance/demand is on the up. That’s everything from football, large concerts, to bands playing in pubs. We as a club have the duo fa tors of demand being the after effects of the pandemic, and the takeover from Ashley, to a possible trio factor if we gain success.

Aye, but ours would seat people, rather than being an oversized dolls house with lots of plastic figures inside it.
  5. I don’t understand how people fell for it. As soon as you came in, it was impossible not to see how it would turn out.
  6. Need him to stay until after we play them.
  7. So who is Jim the Rat going to spit his dummy out against and sack today?
  8. Man Utd on a negative goal difference now.
  9. The Premier League/Top 6 want this, as it adds weight to their argument to close the Premier League.
  10. Regularly gets a good smacking in Washington apparently.
  11. Leicester fans last week were devastated that he was brought on at HT, seems there is a valid reason why.
  12. What’s wrong with El Torieco? Do you not appreciate something to send you to sleep on a Sunday afternoon? For what it’s worth, from next season all non Saturday 3pm KO’s will be on TV.
  13. No one thinks you should have, we all hoped you’d give it to someone as shit as could be. There is a difference.
  14. I’m still not convinced that Wolves will win that.
  15. El Torieco is shaping up to be exactly what you would expect it to be. Boring, and uneventful.
  16. Southampton look clueless. Fulham players are able to go to the referee, complain about a handball, then go to the Southampton player who gained possession because of it, and simply get the ball back. If Fulham could complete a pass in the Southampton box, they would be out of sight.
  17. Changes from next season as well. All non Saturday 3pm KO’s will be shown on TV, even if the match was supposed to be on a Saturday at 3pm but got postponed. Reddit is full of plastics kicking off about who’s been picked for a TV today.
  18. If you are past the pitch, you are classed as being on the line. 1 defender looked to be on the line with him, and the keepers arse looked to also be on the line. It should have been allowed.
  19. Keepers arse looks to be on the line as well.
  20. Nah. They used to be, but in the early to mid 2000’s, something clicked and they became whingy, moaning, entitled brats with a lack of self awerness.
  21. Sold a few of their key players, and they only played well for a brief period of time at the end of last season when most clubs were starting to go on the beach, and after they appointed a new manager, and evidently gave them a new mounded bounce.
  22. ^^^^^^^ It’s good to see North Shields turn things around under their new owners. I haven’t had the chance to go and see them so far this season between work, other commitments, and NUFC clashes. I was going to go on Tuesday night, but had to stay in for an engineer who didn’t arrive until the match kicked off.
  23. If Palace lose this, and presuming Everton will lose tomorrow, then there is a big gap opening up between the rest of the league, and the bottom 5. Also, if Wolves don’t win against Leicester tomorrow, then they are fucked, alongside Southampton who are gone.
  24. He would with the supply like. David will be great for a decent Premier League team.
